I've had garage door service 4 other times in my life, But Dan took it to a whole other level he is by far the best technician I've had. As soon as he arrived he diagnosed the issue and explained the issue to me (my Genie unit was defective causing it to only open the door a few inches and stop.) Well he got my garage door working again and gave me yearly maintenance tips to do to my door to keep it running quite and smooth..Dan has my 5 stars ..
So happy with Dan's work, he's done 2 installations for me and did it faster than I expected. I highly recommend this company for your garage installation.

I hired him to fix one of my automatic garage doors that stopped working after a nearby lightning strike. Not sure if it was coincidence or not. He responded quickly and came out in less than 24 hours. Very friendly and professional. Even greased my doors and wiped off dust. Was also less than I thought it would cost. I hope I have no more issues with my garage, but if I do he is definitely my person.
Had a garage sensor go bad and needed some general check up on my garage door. Dan responded quickly to my request and was out at my house within the hour. Replaced the sensor and fixed the noise within 30 minutes. Highly recommend reaching out to Dan if you have any issues with your garage door!

On a Saturday afternoon, during a hot Fourth of July weekend, our garage door had an issue. It would close and then reopen 2inches or so. We had been having a problem with the wall remote, possibly due to electrical storms. Even though is was late Saturday afternoon and a busy holiday weekend, we called Dan and he agreed to come over that same day. Immediately he knew it was a broken spring and was able to repair it in a timely manner. He was very professional, explained what needed to be done to repair, gave good tips on maintaining the springs, was very kind and easy to talk with. At the end of it all, our wall mounted opener actually was not working properly, and Dan easily fixed that as well, no extra charge. He even helped us with setup on a new car homelink. So, in summary: a prompt, professional company. Run by a kind, and knowledgeable owner.
Well Alrighty! I had been putting off replacing my garage door for a while now because: 1- I thought it would be over-the-top overpriced 2- It would take forever, since my garage door was decades old 3- I didn't know if there were any "good reliable folks" out there,and I didn't want the hassle to go weeding through finding the guys who could tick all three boxes. Well lucky lucky! Soho Stone took the prize! Dan is totally cool. From the get-go, I sensed this guy had experience and that he was a straight-shooter. Easy going, informative, no bs. He gave options and was very clear about specifics. I found his quote VERY reasonable ( I shopped around ). We set on a date and didn't stress over it. When the day came, he called in the morning, and his demo guy came right on time. Kudos to his guy. He took apart that old gargae door like it was a Lincoln log cabin. Thorough and fast! After that, Dan took over and he put the garage door together precise and fast. I am totally thrilled their services. I highly recommend these guys. Hands down, one of the best and an absolute no brainer if for garage door needs! BTW , I took the option to have insulation added for not much at all. Glad I did! SO glad I found you Dan! The estimate wasn't the cheapest of them, but Soho replaced the whole garage door, two guys arrived on time, no coffee breaks , no gossiping removed the old damaged door , both worked like robots( good thing) and then cleaned up, took all the packaging , rubbish and left my garage & front drive clean and tidy. The new door , in white, looks fabulous. Owner even gave me two free re-programmed remotes, thank you

Garage door was broken, I called and Danny said he could come out the next day to repair. He did, and my door works better now than it has in a long time. Price was fair in my book, communication was great and response was great. I will definitely call the next time I need work done on my garage doors!!!
Dan took the time to explain everything he was doing. He checked all options before recommending a new unit. We felt his recommendation honest and professional. He even suggested that we go and buy the unit at Lowes -instead of buying it from him- because we could save some money. Honesty is priceless. Put professionalism on top of that, and you have a great contractor.

Made an appointment and he showed up 5 minutes early. Did a fantastic job, the garage was cleaner than when he got here. Programmed the vehicles for the opener. A line broke on the toilet while he was here and he shut it off for my wife and helped clean up the puddle. The new opener is great too, very quiet and quick.
Blink and you would have missed how fast and professional this company is! I sent in an inquiry through Yelp and less that 24 hours later I have a working garage door again! They were very quick to respond to my naïve questions, and upon arriving at my house, they were done in 30 minutes. Plus, the price could not be beat, I breathed a sigh of relief. If anything goes wrong with my garage door in the future, I know who I'll have on speed dial!
We just had our garage door opener replaced by Dan Arvelo of Garage Doors by Soho Stone. He was friendly and very informative about our garage door opening trouble (the garage door remotes didn't work). Dan explained every step of the process and then did exactly what he promised. I now have a new garage door opener that has an outside keypad, two remotes, safety sensors and an inside garage door controller. Plus we now have bright lights that come on when the garage door operates or I can choose to turn them off or on as I desire. In a little more than an hour I had a complete new system and Dan fully trained me on how to operate it. Thanks Dan you are the BEST!!
