I went to Metro to inquire about buying a commercial opener for my shop roll up. I was prepared to spend $1000 plus It was greeted by a man that I was obviously interfering with his day. He talked at me like I was some guy off the street waisting his time. He barely answered my questions . He gave me retail price of the opener. He was so out of line I didn't even want to talk about installation . I just turned and left for good.

Called to have someone come out to give me an estimate for work and they want to charge for this. Two other companies I'm getting bids for don't charge. You shouldn't be charged for estimates. That's called customer service and obviously they lack in that department so why would I want to go any further with them.

Used to like this company. However I've now called these guys SEVEN times over the entire month of December to find out what's happening with my garage door opener that they came and looked at, which was having issues. Every time I get a woman who is "new" and promises to get an update for me. She even said she'd cc me on her email to her boss asking for an update (which never happened). The problem I have is ZERO follow-up to get me a repair or replacement estimate or even a callback to say hey sorry this is taking so long. Lots of garage door companies in Portland to choose from so I'd avoid these guys until they get their suppliers and customer service figured out.

Metro overhead door was able to come to my home the day that my spring broke. The technician, Jim, was very experienced and did an excellent job replacing my springs and the cables. They also did some routine maintenance on the chain and the opener that improved the operations. I was very pleased with the results and will call them again if I need maintenance or installation in the future.

Garage door spring broke, called Metro Overhead to schedule repair. They were able to schedule approx a week out from my phone call. however, the next day, they had a cancellation and the technician happened to be within 30 mins of my home. This is the second time I have had Metro come out in the last few years, they are always quick and knowledgeable.

This review is for the Vancouver location. If interested their number is (360) 695-0504. A spring broke on our garage door on a Sunday afternoon. We called the number on our old spring and was automatically connected to Metro Overhead Door. We left a message and not to long afterwards a man called us back with a repair quote and repair time frame of Friday between 11-1. We were quoted $280+tax to repair both springs, which after doing some research online, seemed reasonable. On Tuesday afternoon I received a call from June stating they had an opening from 1-3 that day. I was super excited! I was so ready to park my car back in the dry, warm garage. I immediately accepted the opening and thanked her profusely for thinking of us. Corey arrived by 2pm and had the repair done by 3pm. He even replaced one of our cables ($10) as he noticed part of it was frayed. Corey was professional, courteous and friendly. They also accept visa for payment. I was happy to not have to write a check. Overall, great service. I would highly recommend and we'll definitely be using them in the future!

This is a good company that provides installation and repairs of residential and commercial overhead doors, road gates, pedestrian entry, and access control. They have over 80 employees, and a collection of varied equipment. They can handle big jobs, but also serve individual homeowners. I contacted them about a obtaining a replacement electric opening arm for a road gate. Tom was very helpful in identifying the product that I needed, and arranging to order it for installation. The process was efficient and organized. The price was fair. They are experts in their field. It is a professional operation. Thank you, Tom.

I called to schedule an appointment to get a bid on a driveway automatic gate. The guy who called me back was not very excited to talk with me, or it seemed, do business. He said it would take at least 2 weeks to get an appointment to get a bid for my project. I told him forget it and will purchase the automated gate from a competitor who is much more ambitious.

My garage door let out an almost unbearable squeal as it closed. Think fingers on a chalkboard on steroids. Jim from Metro Overhead Door quickly diagnosed the issue as a bad bearing on one side. To access it, he had to remove very small sections of drywall, which he cleaned up afterwards. He worked efficiently and was mindful of the time. He also explained some basic garage door maintenance and recommended I use silicone spray to lubricate the hinges and rollers, while demonstrating the proper technique. In this economy, you really can't get much done in any service (whether it's garage doors or a quick refrigerator repair) for under $200, so I don't fault them for the price, but mention that as it's good keep in mind for budgeting. I'm very happy to have a garage door that does not let out a ghastly shriek every time it closes, and appreciate the good service and attention to detail of Metro Overhead Door.

I have a double garage door that came off its track, and would no longer function. Metro provided great service; they were able to schedule someone the next day to come evaluate the problem. The technician they sent out (sorry I forgot his name, this was a couple of months ago) was very helpful and knowledgeable about diagnosing the cause and recommended a cost effective solution to get it operating again. I would definitely use Metro again. Services Rendered: Repaired garage door that came off its track.

The tech man arrived promptly and did a thorough check of all parts of my garage opener system. Friendly and very knowledgeable. He also gave me instruction on resetting my pass code and advice on simple maintenance. Services Rendered: I called the Metro Overhead Door - Columbia Blvd location. I wanted a check-up because my door had stalled a couple of times.
