Last Friday evening, after a long day at work, I decided to tackle a home improvement project in my garage, aiming to replace a light switch with a motion sensor. Everything seemed to be going smoothly until my garage door decided to throw a curveball my way. Unbeknownst to me, a door sensor had gotten caught in one of the pulleys, winding itself tight and rendering the door inoperable just when I needed to close it for the night. Living in a safe neighborhood or not, the thought of leaving my garage door open all night was unsettling, to say the least. In a slight panic, I started calling around for help, but every place I reached out to couldn't send anyone until the following evening. That's when I stumbled upon Portland Locksmith and Garage Doors. With a glimmer of hope, I gave them a call, and to my relief, they promised to send someone out. Joseph arrived shortly after 6 PM, and I cannot praise his professionalism and diligence enough. He worked tirelessly on our door until around 8 PM, managing to untangle the mess, replace the wire on the right side pulley which got it self unwound and frayed in the process, and even performed some basic service to ensure the door operated smoothly. All the while teaching me a thing or two about how my garage door works. As a new homeowner, I hadn't had to investigate our garage door yet. The door now works better than it ever did before, all thanks to Joseph's hard work and expertise. While the price of $225 wasn't exactly pocket change, especially for a spontaneous Friday evening project gone awry, it was absolutely worth it for the peace of mind and the now flawlessly functioning garage door. I cannot recommend Portland Locksmith and Garage Doors enough. Their responsiveness, quality of work, and willingness to help out in an emergency truly sets them apart. If you ever find yourself in a bind with your garage door, these are the people to call.
Amazing!!! My garage door broke and I sent an email at 7 PM. Got an email back immediately saying they would come out the next morning. James showed up on time and was very friendly and fixed everything. I could not be happier!
I've had her garage door serviced three times. This past summer the contractor's crew jerked it off track and we got it to work again but it failed again today. Portland Lock and Garage finished another job early so they repaired our garage door this afternoon. Their Price was reasonable and they did not sell me parts I thought I was going to require after an inspection. They reviewed all aspects of the door functioning and lubricated it. By far they were the most thorough garage technicians we've used.
This company is amazing! My garage door spring broke without warning and my car was trapped in the garage with cables dangling loose on both sides and I had no idea what to do. I called this place and asked if they did emergency garage door services. They said "yes" and within minutes of my phone call, a technician named James called me back to let me know he was on the way. 20 minutes later he was in my driveway. Minutes later the door was fully professionally repaired and functional again. Plus, the price was very reasonable and James was very kind in answering all my questions. The work came with a warranty too. I could not have asked for a better experience from a company and I will certainly use them again for future garage door work.
Highly recommend! Josh did a great job installing Smart locks at my home. He explained everything clearly, talked through some options and left the work area spotless. He even made a run to the store to get an additional lock I decided to add. Pricing was very reasonable and overall quality of the service was top-notch.
Had a great experience with this company today. Our garage door stopped working and within a few short hours we had someone out here fixing it! That alone doesn't happen often nowadays! I called on a Tuesday and set up appt. for Wednesday with Tina. I live in CA so I had to trust that the work would be done correctly. Tina explained how they charged for services. Josh was out there at time stated and met my real estate agent so we could get the locks changed. Josh called me about what work needed to be done ahead and called again when he finished. Everyone was so polite and Josh even did a couple of extra things that needed to be done at the house so it would be secure. Highly recommend Portland Locksmith.

I set up an appointment for an evaluation and the technician ended up adjusting the garage door, lubricating and resetti g the opener. I am more than satisfied with the service. This is the most honest company I've worked with and will definitely call them again if the need arises.

Andrew came out on a Saturday afternoon and repaired our garage door within hours. He is amazing. Our spring broke in the middle and no way we could have repaired ourselves. Pricing was competitive but the customer service was remarkable. Definitely would call again for future garage door issues.
I was having the worst day trying to get someone to help me get into my storage space. My phone service got shut off and these guys took the time and energy and genuine care to come help me. I am forever grateful for Brian and the rest of the staff who's patience got what I needed to do. I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of their service. Company was very responsive. Andrew, our technician, was great! He came on time, was very nice, and knowledgeable. He replaced our broken springs in about 45 minutes. Excellent job! The price was very competitive.
Great response time to our call. Our front door locked wouldn't allow our key to go in to unlock the door. We have very old hardware. They were over within 30 minutes and played with the cylinder tumbler and got it working again. Also gave very useful advice and options to remedy problems for the future.
Needed 2 garage doors and openers, and that's about all I knew. The owner was super helpful in helping me identify realistic options. I feel like I ended up with exactly what I needed. Erick and Josh installed them with no fuss. Our garage has a vaulted and sloped ceiling, so I was a little worried about how it would all look, but they did great work and it ended up super clean. Thanks guys!! They made a couple keys for another door while they were out. I'm super happy. It's not always fun when you need to pay for stuff like that, but I felt they were fair and I was left well informed with great looking doors.
