I had a very serious issue with my garage door. I called this company and Dave answers the phone. He told me to relax and he gave me a specific instructions on how to re-engage. I'm not going to tell you his Secrets but it worked. He saved me a ton of money and he could have charged me a bunch of money to come out and do a job. This happened on Nevada day and he said I don't want to ruin your Nevada day so he helped me and he said all I want you to do is have a good Nevada day he didn't ask for money or anything. The least I can do is give him a five-star review for being a stud. I recommend this company to anybody and everybody
We had to have an emergency garage door replacement. Jesse and Sal showed up in less than 2hours after I called for an estimate. They helped secure the old door until we got approval from our insurance. The day after we got approval from our home owners insurance, Jesse and Sal were back with a new replacement door. When our garage door opener stopped working we called Action and the owner, Dave, sent one of his employees out for a repair. Jesse was there the same day. He was knowledgeable and efficient and concluded that the opener itself needed replacement. My husband installed garage doors many years ago and was there as Jesse worked diligently to adjust the existing limit switches. When it was evident that we needed a new opener. It was replaced the next day by Jesse and Sal who did a fabulous job, not only replacing the unit but lubricating all the old tracks. They removed all the old parts, trash and left the garage in the same condition as when they started. Walked us thru the instructions on the new unit, Guided us through the steps for the new entry panel. Great service from beginning to end. I highly recommend Action as they truly know their business, have great customer service and from the owner to the employees.

Action Door installed our doors and dented MANY of the panels. They sent a technician to fix the worst one but did nothing to rectify the panels that were just slightly dented. Less than a year later, one of our doors is sticking, so they send a guy over to lube the rails. The charge for one technician to pull out the lube and grease the door was $245.00. That is absurd. The technician was here for 5-minutes. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone as they don't treat the materials properly during installation and you get stuck with banged-up panels. Second, Sally, one of their employees, could care less about providing good customer service. Third, $245 for a service call to rub lube on a rail - pure greed. This is what it's come down to dented panels, GREED, and lousy customer service.
Their technician told me my old garage door opener was obsolete and wanted to sell me an expensive new system. The only problem was the remote would no longer operate. I called another company who sold me new remotes. Working great again for a fraction of the cost.
I'll start by saying that our garage door eventually got installed and so far works great. Doug was very pleasant to work with and did a good job with a tough situation and difficult garage/opening to work with. I'm incredibly glad that he was the one to install our door. However, Action Door as a company was an absolute nightmare to work with. I had to take off work twice for them to install the door, and rather than them complete the job at the time of our first appointment, it took about three weeks before they actually got anything done. The first time they didn't show up at all and when I called they said we weren't even on the schedule (not what they said when we called to confirm the appt the week prior). The second time they showed up, took one look at the opening, and said they wouldn't be able to do it that day and gave very little information. When I called to reschedule they didn't have any availability for two more weeks. We called before our third appt to confirm that they were actually going to show up and that they would be able to complete the job. They had rescheduled the time of our appt and hadn't let us know... Overall, complete time suck and would not work with them again. Doug is the only reason I'm giving more than one star. We would definitely use him again but not through Action Door.
Our son backed into one of our garage doors and we needed to replace both. Our friends recommended Action Garage Door Company and we were very pleased with the customer service from beginning to end. Customer service is often not a priority these days and Action Door went above and beyond. Dave, the owner, met us at his shop on a Saturday, even though the office was closed that day. The doors took 6 months to come in, at no fault of Action Garage Door Company, and were well worth the wait! They look amazing! We also replaced the motors in both doors. Doug did the majority of the work himself and Dave stopped by to help him with the heavy lift. They were both super polite, friendly and very respectful. We will definitely be recommending this company to our friends and family! Thank you Action Garage Door Company! You guys rock!
Back in December of 2021 my garage door wasn't working properly. I picked Action Garage off of the internet just because I liked the look of their website. My guess was spot on! I got a phone call right away and we set up a good time and date. When they came out they were very prompt and let me know right away what was wrong. My 44 year old Stanley garage door motor was about to die. Yes, a 44 year old Stanley garage door opener....which i got to keep because i didnt have the heart strings to let that solid 44 year old girl go into a trash heap somewhere. I have no idea what I'm going to do with her but she gave us 44 years of a solid working garage door I felt the least I could do was let her know we appreciated her. Before he left to go onto his next work order he gave us some really good advice and sent us a quote. At the time I couldn't afford to replace that Ole Stanley motor but a few weeks ago we went out and bought a new craftman garage door opener (not a genie). I immediately sent another email out to Action Garage and got back a response that same day. He came out a few hours before his scheduled time and had the new Craftman up and running in no time. He was very professional, polite, and quick. I would recommend this company to anyone and rate them 5 stars every single time. Thank you Action Garage. Called Action Garage early afternoon for garage door spring repair. They arrived later the same day and completed the work in about 30 minutes. Incredible same-day service, highly recommend.

Dave and company at Action Garage Door Co just installed my new QuietCool whole house fan. I am a long time QuietCool customer and when I bought a new house recently, it was a must have. The techs, Joe and Doug were very prompt and arrived ready to go on installation day. Since Action is a certified dealer, in was easy for them to determine location and getting it up and running was very quick. I can't say enough good things about Action Garage Door Co. They were responsive, professional and will be saving me a ton of money on cooling costs. Highly recommend.

I used Action Garage Door last year to install a garage door opener and I was very pleased with the service and installation. I noticed this company was also a Quiet Cool Whole House fan dealer so I called them for an installation bid. I already had a Quiet Cool fan installed at the house, but the unit is undersized and is for an 1100 square foot house and my house is a two story 2800 square foot house. Joe and Doug came out to my house to see if they could install the appropriate size fan in the attic. Joe determined the Quiet Cool Stealth Pro-6.0X would be the correct fan for the size of my house. I got a very reasonable fair bid and accepted it. Joe and Doug came back to the house on 03-26-21 and removed the old fan and installed the new Stealth Pro. They did a very nice clean install and cleaned up after the installation. The Stealth Pro- 6.0X is the big dog of the Quiet Cool fans and I could not be happier. It is super quiet and has a wireless 3 speed wall switch/timer. You can run it from 1-12 hours or run it continuously. It is so powerful, I could probably get by running it on low speed for a couple of hours a day. If you live in the Carson Valley area of Nevada, this is the place to go for a Quiet Cool Whole House fan installation. Thank you Action Garage Door!
We had a bit of an emergency situation, so I found Action Garage Door through HomeAdvisor on a Monday and was told earliest appointment was Wednesday. I called right away and told Dave our garage door was falling apart and we could only close it half way. He said he could get his guys out on Tuesday to replace it. Doug and Joe showed up at the end of the day after a job that took longer than expected and it was 35 degrees and still replaced my door! Couldn't be more grateful! Thanks Action Garage Door team! I highly recommend.
Wow! Best Service in the Carson City area! We have a retail store and our overhead Security Gate was crossed up and stuck in the open position... It is rather important that it is working correctly and especially that we can open and close it! I did not know who to call so I looked up overhead door repair on the internet! I just went down the list and with the first two companies I was only able to leave a voice message and never heard anything back over a two day period. The third company said they would send a tech out... Never saw a tech and never got a call back even though we were told twice that the tech would be here... We went back to the drawing board and we were able to contact "Action Garage Door Company" at 9AM... By 11AM our overhead gate was fixed! I have to give a shout out to the two techs that were so quick to respond! Joe and Doug! Great customer service and very professional to say the very least! We are so happy with your company! We had requested a garage door company thruhome advisor. Home advisor set an appt with Action Garage Door, a couple of days later we were notified that they needed to change the appt. After they were 30 minutes late, I called, he said that we were in the book but they would have to come in the afternoon, they never came and we never heard from them. If u need a garage door, don't call them
Dave responded quickly with a quote. They were able to get to the job sooner than anyone else. Everything was fixed and is working well! Very easy to work with.
