I phoned in and ordered a new garage door opener and installation for $600. The sons installed the opener and after installation wanted a total price of $745. When I objected they said this opener had more features than the one I had ordered. I said I didn't need them. They wanted to reschedule for the next week to get the less expensive opener. I ask them to go get the correct opener then. We were less than ten minutes from their office. They wouldn't. I feel this was a classic "Bait and Switch" scenario. I hope it has nothing to do with my age (77Years old). After they left I was afraid what they would install something inferior as returning a meal at a restaurant you don't know what you are getting back. The next week I insisted on talking to George and he called me back after the office told me he was off and no way to contact him. I told him my feelings and told him if he split the difference (I offered $75) , or I would have another company take it out and I would return it to him. He told me no, he would *** me and his wife was a lawyer. I only got intimidation from him all the employees never "I'm sorry for the switch". I paid the full amount because the opener does work well and hope I never need warranty (if there is any) because the office lady, I believe the one that took the initial order, told me she would never schedule anything for me again because of the way I was actioning in their office insisting on talking to George with my problem..

I highly recommend this company. Our double car garage lift springs broke over the weekend and left the door inoperable. George and Sons offered to come out on the weekend but we easily waited until Monday. Monday we received a text, a phone call and an e mail letting us know when they would arrive. They arrived in time, quickly assessed the problem and fixed our door. No issues whatsoever and the pricing was reasonable. I do appreciate their attention to detail and professional staff. I found this company on Yelp and they had great reviews and I know why! I called to get a quote for a new garage door after discovering from another company that the whole door needed to be replaced. I wanted to get two quotes and I'm glad I did. George & Sons were available to come give us a quote within 24 hours and the price was better than the other company. The communication from this company is great and the timeline was excellent as well for replacing the door. Our technician Kobe was excellent, showed up on time and did a great job from start to finish. I would highly recommend this company over the others in town. I love supporting a small business and I'm glad this was such a positive experience!

What happens when the spring on your garage door breaks and you can't get out? Call George & Sons. They responded and scheduled someone to come out the same day within 5 hours!! I was back in action and freed from my home within 45 minutes of Colby's service. He also suggested replacing the rollers as they were looking weathered and aged. He was able to do that at the same time. No problem. I felt like the price was right for their quick, accommodating, friendly, and quality work. I may have them come out to install an opener in our second garage. Pricing seems reasonable.

Two thumbs up for George and Sons Garage Door repair. I put in an emergency call the weekend of New Year's. Not only did they return my phone call right away but within two hours they had a technician at my house, replacing a broken spring. Fast, friendly service. I would definitely recommend this company.

I have tried other garage repair places in town, but I have never been as impressed by the quality of service and care as I have with George & Sons. On a whim (and because little mice and a snake found their way into my garage this summer -- I needed to stop the food chain!), I noticed their commercial about replacing garage door seals on both my doors. When they came out, they didn't have the right seals because they were out of stock. They followed up within a week and a half, scheduled the appointment and came in time. As a customer typically would, I remembered that my darn keypad has not been working. They quickly replaced it. And it wasn't until I opened the smaller garage door, I realized that they tuned up the opener so it didn't make the godawful T-rex roaring noise. That was st no additional charge. When companies and their employees take the extra step to make sure that everything works before they leave, THAT is a 13/10 experience.

This is the 2nd time I've used them for garage door repairs. They are so good to work with. Coming out to Fernley was not a big deal for them like it is for so many others. On the first visit the tech made sure my garage door would close...he said he needed parts to make it operational. The 2nd tech had everything needed and fixed it in no time. There was obvious communications between them. The technicians are great to work with and so is the staff....and with all that great service, they are also reasonable. You won't go wrong calling them for help!!

I have used this company twice on an emergency once on a Saturday afternoon and again on a Saturday at night. Both times I have called never once did feel that I was a burden. They were very courteous both times over the phone and the techs that came out to service the call. Once the call was made they arrived quickly and got the job done. If you need any service for your garage I would not call anyone except them. They also have the best pricing and they aren't trying to rip you off.

The spring in my garage door snapped and I needed it fixed as soon as possible. I called George & Sons on a recommendation from friend. Boy, am I glad I called! They were here in about 10 minutes, fixed the door in about 15 and I was on my way! Thank you for your prompt and courteous service :)

From Chris George arriving for my consultation just a couple of days after I made the request to the first time I used the new garage door clicker after the installation - my experience was top notch awesome. It runs so smooth and quiet, it's a drastic difference from the old clunker. Coby arrived early and certainly knew what he was doing, and he was polite and thorough. And oh my goodness, the price. It cost just over half of what I thought the best price just MIGHT be. As of now, the day of the installation, I could not be happier. Thank you, George and Sons!!

Great. Brandon listened intently to all of my concerns about the bad installation and proceeded to fix all of the problems left by the other door company. He was friendly, courteous, and seemed to really enjoy his work. Brandon did an excellent job and made sure that I was happy with all the corrections. Now the door works like it is brand new. George and Sons is the company to call first if you want the job done right so that you don't have the problems that I had. They will be the company that does all my service work on my door and opener if it is ever needed. From the initial call to completion of the work, the experience was great. I have an older house with a small manual garage door. I had a garage door opener installed, along with a keypad. It came with two remotes. I hadn't even thought about it but since we have no door from inside the house to the garage, John recommended installing a safety lever so that we could get the garage door open in case we lose power, which we quite frequently do. So there's a key/lever I can activate to unlock and manually open the automatic door. Very cool. He was so nice, left the area clean, and gave me a ton of explanation about everything. All of the extra work, safety lever, and an extra remote (3 total) for$490. I'm so happy I can now park my car in the garage!!! Services Rendered: Installed garage door opener
