I needed to have my garage door springs fixed on both sides. I have never had to do that before, so I went on Yelp and looked at the companies and reviews. True Garage Door answered my phone call and when I explained what was wrong, he asked me to send him a picture. I did , while we were on the phone, and he said based on my picture, the cables needed to be replaced. He also gave me the price and it was very reasonable , He asked if I needed it done today, or could it wait until tomorrow? I told him it could wait until tomorrow. So he and his helper where there at 9:30 in the morning. They were done in about an hour and they tested both door to make sure worked perfectly. I'm very happy with True Garage Door!
I had a situation which was much more complicated than most garage door openers; I wanted to install a side-mounted opener on an old wooden door with a new torsion spring installed; the problem was low head room . Travis immediately contacted me to view my situation- driving all the way from RI to MA.... He assessed the situation, explained everything throughly, and promptly sent me a very detailed estimate of what was involved. I did proceed to get other professional opinions, and soon realized that Travis was far superior in his knowledge with a unique solution to the problem. He scheduled the work in a timely fashion.. he is truly an exceptional person. I would highly recommend him .
BOTTOM LINE: True Garage Door is very thorough, clearly competent, and they care about doing the job well and making sure their customers are more than satisfied. One of the springs on our 27 year old garage door broke (again -3rd time), leaving the door and it's opener nearly useless. Contacted the door company we'd used previously, as we were happy with their service, but hey couldn't come out to look at the door for 5 days. I scheduled the appointment, but also decided to see if I could find another local company, and came across True Garage Door. Travis was able to come out the same day to look at the door and address the issue for a lower cost and discuss more longer-term solutions. Further, they had excellent ratings on review sites. Travis came out the same day at the agreed time and took care of the spring, thoroughly explaining options. I'd thought about replacing the door the last time the spring broke with an insulated door, and Travis again reviewed all the options. I forgot to mention that this occurred just after Thanksgiving, so timing was not great. Anyway, we picked out a Haas door at Travis' suggestion. Due to the holidays, it took a bit longer to get the door that had to be ordered, but we were kept informed along the way, including apologies for the delay (clearly was not his fault, but he cares about his customers and his work). When the door came in, Travis contacted us again and set up a time to install the door(~3-4 hrs) at our convenience. The snowstorm that came through did not deter he and his team from doing the job. They showed up on time and took care of everything, leaving the garage even cleaner than before they arrived. I highly recommend Travis and his team and will certainly call them anytime I need service on our garage door. Thank you Travis!
If you do not have a garage door guy but you have a garage...call these guys. Amazing service very prompt. Very busy but they work your job into the rotation in a timely and respectful way. Just had an electric garage door opener installed. Travis and Jason were a professional duo. They were able to answer all my questions. I have so many good things to say about Travis and TRUE GARAGE DOORS that I'm afraid people might not think this is a real review but I can assure you it is! Travis had the fairest price of anyone I called and the job was done with exceptional quality and care. He went above and beyond when he found that the door frame needed a good amount of structural work in order to make a proper installation; unfazed, Travis made a quick trip to Home Depot to pick up various lumber and to my surprise didn't charge a penny over the quoted price. To top it off, Travis has some great stories to tell about his life, just a great guy overall. In conclusion, I cannot over-praise True garage doors and Travis and will happily recommend his work.

Contacted the business late Wednesday night, owner reached out and set up a visit for the following day-- able to repair my garage door in about an hour at an incredibly reasonable price - also no attempts to push the more expensive replacement. Very happy with this business - highly recommend.

I don't often leave reviews, but I was really impressed with True Garage and Travis. My garage door was a hot mess - rough tracks, broken door opener and motion sensors. Then the wires got messed up and I couldn't lift the door at all. So I couldn't put off doing something about it any longer. Hadn't heard about True Garage before looking on Yelp. Saw the uniform good reviews and figured I would give them a try. Travis got in touch less than 10 minutes after I submitted an estimate request online and was able to come out next day. He was totally professional: called before coming and arrived early. He took a look at the garage door and explained what it needed and gave a very reasonable quote, and was able to do it right then. He fixed the door and installed a new motor and sensors in about 2 hours. All around great experience. I highly recommend True Garage.

We called Travis when our garage door was stuck closed with both of our cars inside. Travis arrived the same day and fixed, what turned out to be, a broken spring. He was kind and clearly hardworking. His price was reasonable. He noted that we might need a part replaced on our garage door opener, but suggested we wait for a bit. It's not very common for someone to suggest NOT doing something. We appreciate his honesty. We will happily call him in future should we need garage door services.
