Very poor service. I began working to get new gas logs and doors installed in late July/early August and the process is still not complete. Almost January now. They charge you full price before the work is complete. Apparently, if Kevin is not in when you call no one else knows what to do. They take a message and no one calls you back. Installed the wrong burner and the doors were defective. Still no update on the replacement of the door. Every time they mess up, you have to go to the bottom of the list for the reinstall. If you're smart, you will shop elsewhere.

I bought a set of gas fireplace logs here. Very happy with the product and service. Heats my home much better then the cheapo logs bought at a big box store.

This store claims to be a repair store . That differently isn't true. Anytime you take a repair in there(this time fireplace logs) they refuse to work and repair them claiming they are beyond repair. They will readily sell you new ones. Anything they can't make alot of money on they don't won't your business! This is extremely poor customer service and I will never go back. I will advise anyone not to go there! I'm leaving 1 star because there no way to leave less

I had a broken spring on my 18' garage door. First business I called came and raised door so I could get car out, but they didn't answer my calls or come again. Dixie Products was the answer. Office was very responsible and arranged for 2 techs to handle the problem. The head tech was very intelligent, extremely knowledgeable, and handled the broken spring (and everything associated with it) in about 45 minutes. Perfect job. Well done. And greatly appreciated from initial phone call to installation. From my experience, Dixie Products is a top notch company.

After another local company didn't show up to fix my garage door when they said they would, and wouldn't return my phone calls, I called Dixie Products at 9 am on a Friday. Within 5 minutes I was called back with an appointment for 2 pm on the same day. The technician showed up on time and had my door fixed within 45 minutes. The entire experience was top notch and appreciated since my door had been broken for over a week.

These guys are great! They helped me test my remote for my gas logs for free and tgen spent time on the phone talking me through the lighting process. They installed the logs 5 years ago and stand behind what they sell! Hard to find these days!

My garage door opener's belt broke and I needed it replaced asap! I call Dixie Building Products on Monday, they replaced it on a Tuesday morning. Now, that's what I call asap. The service technicians that came were very nice, courteous, knowledgeable and professional. I am definitely recommending Dixie Building Products for all your garage door/opener needs.

I contacted Dixie Products mid-November about a non-working has fireplace. I was told the wait was 4-5 weeks and I would be put on a waiting list. Not a huge deal. Got a message from Kevin the evening of 1/8 while we were eating dinner. I called him back and left a message. Called him back on 1/9 and left another message. Called the office on 1/10 and spoke to Paul his boss. He told me Kevin was trying to get me on the schedule and he would have him call me back. Kevin just got around to calling me back - it's now 1/16. I'm sorry, you can't return 3 messages or have the office call me? I take it my business isn't very important so I called another company earlier this week who is coming out next week. My job may have been small but they just lost out on some future business I am looking at doing. Not sure why they got such good ratings from others because I find their customer service seriously lacking.

I have used Dixie Building Products to supply garage doors, openers and fire logs to include installation for two new home construction and another pre-existing home. I felt their products was generally good quality and pricing competitive. I did, however, have an unfortunate event where I felt the pricing was unfair and took advantage of my situation. My garage door opener installed fall of 2015 failed. Dixie Products sent a technician the next week and replaced the defective unit. He was courteous and efficient. The price charged for the part was $58, however, the labor was $96 and a added trip charge of $20. The labor and trip charge was double that of the part and I assume the part price was sold to me with a retail mark up. I will not confine my search exclusively to Dixie Products the next time I have need of this type of home product.

Excellent product. We are from the Richmond area and were having trouble finding a contemporary wood stove within our price range. We were referred to Dixie from Hearth and Home Shoppe in Mechanicsville. When I called Dixie to tell them my truck had broken down and that I couldn't make the drive to pick it up, the owner called me back and said that he was coming down to Richmond the next weekend anyways, and would drop it off Saturday morning. He even helped me get it inside, upstairs. I would recommend them ten times over to strangers and friends alike.

Overall, good. Services Rendered: One of the garage door openers was malfunctioning and had to be replaced, because replacement parts for the older opener (installed by Dixie in late 2001/early 2002) were no longer available.

I backed into my garage door that didn't open all the way and Mark and the guys at Dixie were great!! Got technician to my house within about an hour or so and they had it fixed in no time. Great service and friendly people!

Provider suggested products that were within our reach, against higher priced ones He gave suggestions for self installation. Including safety check of existing chemney (I have had experiance working with Propane) Offered to have someone come out and check unit before lighting up.
