I received Fred's information as a recommendation when my garage door spring snapped. I called and could tell he was doing his best to get to me ASAP even though I was not in a rush. He showed up in about an hour! Fred was fast and thorough with a more than fair price and did not try to upsell me like other companies. Thanks Fred!

Mr.Fred is what I call out of the way that I was raised, but I called him on a Wednesday evening and he came out Friday morning very pleased with involving me in what was going on with my broken door his price was very fair Mr.Fred even fixed a bad wire and no extra cost! He was fast and thorough I highly recommend automatic garage door repair

He came out almost immediately was prompt honest and reasonable. He fixed my door completely when most would have had it replaced saving me thousands. Did all of the little things like cleaning the skids and regluing the rubber bottom that had fallen a little bit. Would recommend him to anyone.

Fred came over and fixed an issue that I've been having for many years. I've had other businesses come over and not fix the problem Correctly. Communication was great, and he was on time and explained every step along the way. His quote and pricing was beyond reasonable, and I would not hesitate to use Fred again.

Been using Fred on and off since I bought my first house in 2001. He is always responsive and quick to handle my calls. Today he admitted he wasn't sure when he could get to me with the holiday week but he would call me back after lunch. While he got behind with the weather and job complexity of work ahead of me he made it to my house. Service fee, guide wire and labor was less then $200 and 40 minutes by him and his son. Thanks Fred! 53 years in the business and a wealth of knowledge you won't find anywhere else.

The opener arm bracket broke off my 30-year-old garage door. I called several repair services and was told I would have to wait a day for a service tech by one company, three days by another, and a third said I would have to install a new door. Then I called Fred Stiffler. He came over in less than two hours, repaired my existing door for far less than his competitors, lubricated the door, and gave me helpful tips on using my garage door opener. It was a great customer experience. Thank you Fred!

Great job, quote for the job was right on. Only concern was that he had to fix and repair a prior company's mistake and poor workman's ship. If you want the job done right, have Fred Stiffler do it !!

Our garage spring broke right after I shut it and the other car was stuck in the garage. After a few searches and researching repair businesses, Fred was able to swing by and repair our garage. He was responsive, fast, reliable and honest with pricing. I read other reviews about him and people saying he overcharged but guess what, you want it fixed same day with quality parts, well guess what, sometimes convenience has a cost to it. Overall it was amazing for him to come the same day to repair it. Meanwhile, I was at work the entire time and my wife was the one who dealt with Fred and she was very impressed with his expertise and knowledge of garage doors. Fred has over 50 years experience and he definitely knows what he doing! Thank you so much Fred!

Experienced, efficient and very reasonably priced. Fred owns the business and he has been doing this for decades. No frills: he doesn't make up stories and overcharge. In fact, in my case, he reassured me that what I was told by another contractor was incorrect: my garage door was installed correctly and only the owner settings were wrong. He corrected the settings, tested the door to make sure it was okay and that was that. I asked him to replace the key pad. Hex checked it out and replaced it. I highly recommend Fred and his business.

Friday afternoon garage door was not functioning correctly. Called two companies but neither could get here for 3/4 days. When I called Automatic Garage Door. I spoke with Fred. Our garage door broke halfway up. We called another place, and it was going to take 2 days for them to come. We called Automatic Garage Door Repair, and not only did they come the same day, but in a few hours! When your car is stuck in the garage, you really don't have time to wait. All is well. Mr. Stiffler does a very good job and is very responsive. I would recommend. He has fixed or adjusted my garage door on a number of occasions, and I have been satisfied. He seems to be very honest and very thorough. Services Rendered: I had him check for worn parts. Turned out to be lubrication (bit pricey for spraying a little liquid wrench on door). Took about ten minutes. But I guess that is his standard rate??

The service was done within an hour of placing the call. Later that morning, I found the remote controls did not work unless they were located directly under the opener. Fred returned promptly and determined that the LED bulbs I had placed in the opener affected the range for the remotes. He replaced with incandescent bulbs and the problem was solved. There was no charge for his return visit. Services Rendered: Replaced light socket on garage door opener, lubricated rails and mechanism, checked door alignment.

On returning from work, I could not get into my garage. I investigated the problem and noticed the torsion spring that counterbalances the weight of the door, during opening/closing, was broken. I called at 6:30PM on Wednesday evening. He was at my house the next day at 9:30am. He called in the morning to let me know when to expect his arrival. His first call was from his first appointment of the day to give me an approximate estimate of his arrival. His second call was to let me know he was in transit to lock in his arrival time. He worked quickly and professionally, no problems. Once the spring was installed, he made adjustments to the garage door opener, to compensate for the new spring tension. This is the second time I have used this company - The last time was about (15) years ago. It was a very good experience then - which is why I went back to Fred Stiffler/Automatic Garage Door Repair Service again. Services Rendered: Removed and replaced the torsion counterbalance spring on a double wide garage door and adjusted the automatic garage door opener.
