(long review) I inquired about an estimate, he was quick pleasant & responsive. Provided a quote, followed up with a few messages and no response, one of which was wanting to proceed with the job. When he did respond he then says he will provide a new quote as prices go up after 5 days.
I noted that he did not disclose the 5 day rule in text or conversation and asked him to honor initial quote. He didn't respond. He sent the new quote on email.
As I am a person of strong integrity, it did not bother me his price went up it bothered me that he didn't disclose this and he ignored my inquiry.
A couple days after sending the new quote, he emailed again asking for my to sign it and pay the deposit. I had also asked twice where/how was the link to place deposit. No response.
I decided to ask again about honoring his initial quote as he never disclosed his 5 day rule. He proceeds to tell me he is ok if I find someone else for the job. Not wanting to keep looking I ignore this and clarify that I would proceed but needed to know how to place the deposit.
His reply is that in the next week he would be off work for a couple months. Since he had told me the garage doors would be a few months, I restated this information and that regardless of his time off he would be back in time to complete my job. No response
I went online signed the "new' quote and emailed it to him. His response, I will not be doing your job, please find someone else.
I do not do well when people are dismissive and poor communication. In one week I was asked to pay deposit but he wouldn't tell me how, I even asked for an electronic link, a couple days later was told he would be taking time off then I was told to find someone else.
I am a consumer that prefers to give to small business but I pay for good customer care so hopeful whomever I elect for garage door replacement can provide that as Jose, with myself, was not able to.
Very disappointed.
