I have had Jim repair my garage door springs for the past 20 years. He also installed a new opener a few years ago and it has worked great. It's good to see his son Blake get ready to take over the reins of the business.

Highly recommend. We were quoted several thousand dollars and that it would take two months to make the repair by another company. Then we called Steorts. They came within the hour and fixed the problem immediately for less than $200.

We had our shop door spring break we need to get our equipment out. They came right over and helped us get our door open so we could get our equipment out and go to work they got it back up and running !! replaced the springs and other necessary parts, we appreciate them very much for their speedy and efficient manner of Taking care of our door. These guys were so great!! I called on a Friday evening with a broken garage door panel. They showed up on Saturday morning to look at it, called my Monday morning with a quote, and had it fixed by Monday early afternoon. Jim communicated very well, letting me know that replacing one panel may look a little different, so I was prepared, and fine with it. I was so impressed and so grateful. I also think it was a very reasonable price. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

Hi asked a different garage door company to come out and give me an estimate. The estimate they gave me was right around $1000 for the repairs and parts needed. it felt wrong and so I decided to reach out and get someone else on the job. Jim came within two hours and stuck on one more hour to complete the repairs that were needed. He charged me several hundred dollars less than the first company wanted to. I won't ever use anyone else and I will share his information with anyone. I come across who needs a garage door service.

These are the guys you want to call! I'd give them 10 stars if I could. The whole experience was great. They were courteous, efficient and reasonably priced. I didn't feel like they were trying to up-sale me. I was presented with the facts and my options to fix the problem. Then I was able to choose the one that worked for me. I will use Steorts from now on. Blake is fantastic. I wholeheartedly recommend them. Stop googling "garage repair"and call them!

Trustworthy, competent and efficient. Highly recommend father and son team, Jim and Blake. Our doors are ancient but performing well with the oversight and maintenance of Steorts. It has been many years since they have even needed to replace parts. So thankful to have them. They know the mfgr. history of the equipment we have. We have worked with Steorts several times. They came out to fix a broken spring and we liked them so much that we later had them install new doors and openers. Recently we needed an emergency repair after the door didn't open all the way which we didn't notice and accidentally backed out and jammed the door. They came right out and got us all fixed up. These guys are nice, honest, and they do good quality work!

If we could give a higher rating, we would. Jim Nelson is the best. He is very familiar with our aging equipment and keeps it running smoothly. He has a wealth of knowledge as is not hesitant to share suggestions about keeping things running smoothly. Would not consider calling anyone else for repairs or service. He told me I'd wasted his time. I replied, in that case, he should have asked me the brand before he made the appointment. Differentiating among garage door openers likely isn't a strong point for most people. Services Rendered: Steorts has worked on my garage doors for years, including the present door. I called 7/5/16 to make an appt. for replacing remotes, resetting the code on an older remote and resetting the code on a keypad. Nielsen arrived at 3:40 for a 1-3 time slot. I repeated what I needed and he immediately said he couldn't do the job because he doesn't work on my brand of opener (Marantec). I said I really needed two new remotes and Nielsen said, "Well, you're not getting 'em today." He said, "We'll just treat this like it never happened."

My garage door over years of use gave out. I honestly didn't think it could be fixed but knew I needed to call a professional. I was referred to Steorts Garage Doors. Jim was extremely helpful in talking thru the problems and came out same day. Not only did he fix the garage door to better condition than what it had been for years, but his fee was very affordable. We called on Wednesday night about 5:30 pm and received a call within an hour. Jim was able to stop by Thursday morning to give us an estimate. While the garage door could have been repaired, we went with a new one. Jime was able to get it installed that day and did a great job. He also adjusted the garage door opener and went over what maintenance was needed on the garage door. We're very happy with the new door and the work he did. Repaired warped garage door and adjusted bottom to reach garage floor at a low end. On a previous service call he serviced the garage door and checked everything and discouraged me from replaceing the whole door, and by doing so cost himself a sale and several hundred dollars; which demonstrated high integrity. He is very prompt and when on the previous call he was delay, he called, eventhough the delay was fewer than ten minutes.

I called 5 garage door businesses, and went with Jim. He answered my call immediately, and gave me the most competitive quote. He was also the only one who offered to come out on Saturday, without asking for an additional weekend service fee. He was prompt and professional when he came out, and answered all of my questions. Upon receiving my request for service Jim, the owner as I recall, inspected the garage door sealer that had been recently installed and ordered a replacement. He always kept me informed of delays in consequence of receiving the replacement door sealer and subsequently called even because he would be late by jut a few minutes to install the product. Before removing to bottom sealer that had been previously installed, he showed me how it had it did not fit to the door and how was short of being flush with the door, which caued binding with the structure. Jim examined the door and motor and advised me against replacing either anytime soon, and check setting and also lubricated the moving parts. Both Jim and his employees were very courteous and appropriate in appearance. Sorry, but I am unable to upload pictures that I took on Jim's recommendation.
