Hector and Anthony came out today to diagnose our 25 year old squeaky, creaky garage door opener. He was honest and upfront that it didn't need replacing, just maintenance. He also showed us how to maintain annually ourselves. Price was very fair. I really appreciate their business model vs. the other guys who always scare me into thinking I need major service or even replacement. Highly recommend this company and will use them again.

Hector and his crew came out to do an inspection and maintenance on two garage doors. The guys were great. I tend to not mess with garage doors because of the number of components under tension. The small door was missing cables and the control board in the unit was dead. The missing cables were installed and the rollers, track, and springs were inspected and lubricated. The door now opens with a gentle push upwards. The large door was serviced as well, lubricated, the spring adjusted, and the limits fine tuned so that it opens to the correct height and when closed gently touches down. Well worth the service fee to have the job done properly and safely.

Just want to "Shout Out" to Garage Door Man. Spoke to Jim(the owner) on a Wednesday and agreed on Thursday for repair. Anthony & Hector arrived promptly when they said they would. Got right to work and fixed my garage door quick! They did repair (cable unwound, crooked door that would not close) and lubed up the hinges and track to boot! They also told me how I could keep door lubed and running smoothly in the future. Very kind and efficient team. They explained everything. Charged what was quoted and it was fair. Use theses guys!! Jim showed up on time and was very knowledgeable about the garage door. He explained what he was doing while fixing the problem since both sides of coils were out of alignment. And he charged us a very reasonable price! Would highly recommend him!

I had a problem with my garage door, another company said I needed to replace everything since the motor was weak and they estimated almost $1000 for the job. Garage Door Man took a look only at the door, mechanism and the motor and determined that only adjustment, cleaning and balancing was required. My garage door now works perfectly fine, I am happy with the service and professionalism of Garage Door Man; thank you!

Our garage door opener belt broke so we called around to several garage door repair companies. Garage Door Man was the only company that provided quotes over the phone, which was helpful for us to understand the magnitude of repair costs. We ended up having two separate companies come take a look. The first one tried to upsell us on installing a whole new motor and gear set in addition to the belt. Hector and Garage Door Man were very transparent and reassured us that our gear set and motor were fine. Not only did they not try to upsell us, but they also told us the signs and indications that they used to determine that our gear set and motor were healthy. A very honest and fair company and a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommended!

Our garage door had failed on us last week, after calling around three different local shops in Escondido I contacted the Garage Door Man. Spoke to a wondering lady on the phone that helped diagnose the issue and decided to work with them just because of the quality provided over the phone. Install was quick and easy! Just today we were having issues with the garage again and James the owner came out and fixed the issue in no time! I contact Hector at Garage Door Man and he said that Gino was off in 15 minutes but that he would let him know and even join him so that the job could get finished quickly. He gave me a quote over the phone (guessing on what I needed). When they arrived, they introduced themselves and then had the garage door completely fixed in less than an hour. They replaced a broken wheel and the broken cable, re-lubricated all the joints and made sure the door was working properly. They were polite and so easy to work with. Services Rendered: A cable snapped on our metal garage door over Labor Day weekend. We could not open or close the garage door.

Poorly, as after the installation there were 3 return visits because the door went off the track. 18 months later, it again went off the track which led to another visit with a $149 fee for fixing what should have been done right in the first place. I recommend that you include in your budget not just the original work but the additional money you will be charged for them to get it right. Services Rendered: Replace a garage door.

I was going to ask to replace only a few hinges. However, I finally decided to get all the hinges (maybe 15 in total) replaced because I got to know $85 will be charged separately for the service call otherwise. It was a bit surprising. It would have been nicer if they had let them know when I made the appointment. The work was done quickly. Hector did his job well and corrected some mistakes the assistant had made. Because of the mistakes and corrections, my door panels had to get more drill holes than actually needed. Anyway, the door overall looks sturdier than before. Services Rendered: Hinges replacement
