Found this company by googling and searched for a local company with good reviews. They came out (on time), gave me a quote, returned with my garage door, installed, fixed the lousy work I received from a Lowe's installer (on the garage door opener - not what I bought from Ellis) all on time, friendly, professional, great work. Then I had an unrelated issue from the door. I called thinking it had something to do with the most recent installation. It didn't . It just need some lubricant on the spring. He then explained how to keep it lubricated, where to keep it lubricated, which lubricant to use. Again, was here on time, great communication - text before arriving. Then, he didn't charge me for the visit. That's the way businesses should operate, but many don't. I'm very pleased and he will be who I use and who I recommend to clients - I'm a realtor. Can't go wrong here.

We highly recommend Ellis Garage Doors. They were very reasonable compared to a few other reputable companies. They were able to fix our garage door for half the price than what others quoted us. Very honest and friendly company. We will definitely be using them again in the future.

I was given this company from a friend who said this company was great. I called four companies and this one came quickly and fixed it the next day for a lower amount than the other companies and it was so fast. I never heard from two of the other companies again. He did a great job and was so fast. I will always use this company and you will not be disappointed. If I could give this company 10 stars I would. The cost of my repairs was much less than the other companies. I only wish I could find other repair fields as good as this. They are a true jewel you so not find often. Carolyn Herbert July 30,2019

Our garage door was broken and I scheduled three quotes to get it fixed. Ellis guy came out (I assume it was Owner) showed up on time. Quickly gave me assessment and said he could fix it that day. I had two other quotes so told him I would call him back. Long story short he quoted me WAY less than the other 2 guys that came out. I scheduled him the next day and he came out to fix the door. Not 15 minutes later door was fixed and worked great. I told him what other contractor had said about needing a automatic garage door opener and he laughed. I didn't feel like he was trying to hustle me or upsale anything. He just did good work at a very fair price. Only complaint I have is the answering service he has. Doesn't appear he has a secretary or a way to manage calls except for his voicemail and then he returns your call. I would think you could do more business if you had someone answer the phone right away.

I had been looking through Angie's List to try to find someone to help replace one of the springs on my garage door. I was finding that the average price for this was around $200-$300. I found these quotes to be pretty high and with little or no luck finding a warranty, I wasn't willing to pay that. I came across Ellis Enterprises on a random advertisement and decided to give them a call. I spoke to Mr. Ellis (D.W.) and he was at my house within the hour. He looked at the issue and went back to the shop to see if he had the correct type of spring in stock. He called me right back and asked if it would be okay to come by after his lunch and install it. When he arrived to install the part, he was extremely efficient and quick. He also gave me a warranty on the job, which was greatly appreciated. D.W. was obviously a professional and was very knowledgeable and serious about his work. I was definitely satisfied and know who to call if I have any other garage door issues in the future. Services Rendered: Needed one spring replaced on my garage door.

My garage door spring broke and we could not get out cars out. I called Ellis Enterprises at 7:30 a.m. Mr. Ellis was very professional, told me he would be at our home on or before 9 a.m. He arrived before 8:30, had the parts necessary to make the repair and was gone before 9 a.m. He absolutely knew what he was doing and got the job done quickly, efficiently and at a very reasonable price Services Rendered: Garage door repair

Opener stopped working. I emailed and they came out the same day to look at it. Turns out it was a bad board on it. Since the unit is so new, he suggested that I call the manufacturer. No charge for the visit. I have his card in case they try to overcharge me or if I need service in the future. Very professional, prompt, and has been around the business for years! Services Rendered: Service opener.

Our garage door would not close. I called Enterprise and set up an appointment for the next. He was very busy because the cold weather was affecting many area garage doors. At that time he gave us an estimate for the work. He arrived a few minutes early. When he looked at the door he explained that the cold weather threw the alignment off so the door was not sensing properly. He also explained that we were using the wrong kind of lubricant and that was adding to the problem. He cleaned up our runners and lubricated well. Since the door needed only service and not repair he charged for a service call only. He also said that he was not going to cash the check for 3 days to ensure that we were happy with the service. We are very happy with the service. The door operates properly and is so, so quiet. The door has never run so quietly or smoothly, even when it was brand new. Services Rendered: Repaired the garage door that would not lower.

Mr Ellis was able to come by several hours after I called him regarding a garage door opener that would not hold settings. The unit was 16 years old and he said the board was basically shot and recommended a new opener. He would have expedited installation but since he only takes cash/checks it was OK by me to wait a week until he made his Monday run to San Antonio for materials. He returned calls during business hours (he only operates Monday -Thursday) and was courteous, prompt and professional. The new install went very well and is nicer than the unit I had previously. His labor rate is $60 an hour (at least for this purpose). Although he charged $120 for the one hour install he also had to compensate for his initial service call as well as the trip to San Antonio for parts/materials. I would use him again. Services Rendered: made service call to assess problem, made second trip to R&R garage door opener
