Google5Southern Garage Doors came to the rescue today! One of the cables on our garage door came off and we were unable to open the door. Scheduling was easy and efficient online. Matthew arrived right on time a did a fantastic job! He not only quickly repaired to cable he also made sure to check the other cable and found they were both installed incorrectly and made adjustments to both cables and did a thorough exam and overall maintenance on our door. True 5 star customer service.

Google5Had a spring break on my garage door. Matthew promptly answered the phone. I was able to get a quote right away. He was able to come in a timely manner. Showed up when he said he would and did the work for the agreed upon price. Even did a garage door inspection while he was fixing my spring. Would definitely use again and highly recommend.

Google5This company is awesome. I was referred by friends who "know everyone" and these guys are great. Called initially and was told to go online and set up the appointment. Matt came out within 2 hrs and fixed the issue and explained everything in detail. Price was very fair and that was also explained up front. Will recommend them to everyone

Google5What great service!! This is a small, family owned and operated business and it is obvious they value their customers! I called for a repair on my door and Matt arrived early the next morning. He had the door repaired in short order but he also identified other potential issues and corrected them as well. He also made sure to lube all the moving parts before he left. And all for a very reasonable price! Very honest, knowledgeable and polite...would definitely use again and highly recommend to others!!

Yelp5Cannot say enough about Matt, the serviceman for Southern Garage Doors. Prior to Tony Dimeo referring him to me, I had been totally scammed by someone replacing the springs. Matt, was honest, explained things well, and took good care of me (he said Tony stressed that he do so.Thanks Tony) I have no doubt that he would have anyway. Prompt and very efficient. Google5Your company came highly recommended! After our experience with Southern garage doors we can certainly see why. After reading the other reviews I realized that they're only getting better. For us only 3 hours between setting up the appointment to two new replaced springs and our garage door operating perfectly. Matt knows his craft.

Yelp1Was not charged for the house call but Matthew refused to service my broken opener after I muttered the F word in the middle of a conversation with someone else about something different while I was standing outside at least 10 feet away from him, as he was checking the motor inside the garage. One word, one time, spoken quietly. He and his father had installed the opener years ago and have serviced it since then. I have no problem finding someone else - but he wasted my morning waiting for his four-hour timeframe arrival. Also, there was no license number on his vehicle, as per Florida regs.

Yelp5My garage door would not close. I checked to see if the sensor was obstructed but it was clear. I called Southern Garage door and after askinge a few questions, he had me make sure the sensors were aligned. They weren't, I must have bumped into it taking the garbage can out. He didn't have to spend all that time with me. He could have made a service call and charged me. He was very kind.

Yelp5Matthew from Southern returned my voicemail message for service at 8:01 am...a minute after they opened. When I described the problem with the garage door (it stopped opening and closing) he told me it sounded like a problem with a sensor. Mathew said he could come out to address the problem ($199) but thought he could walk me through the solution. He did! How many businesses would take the time to provide customers with self help advice and lose the opportunity for getting a paid job? VERY few! Thank you Matthew!

Yelp5I echo all the five star reviews for Southern Garage Doors. I called at 8am, and my garage door was operable by 1pm on the same day. Matt did the repair in 30 minutes, then went above and beyond by lubing all the moving parts. The door now opens and closes as perfectly as it did on the day it was installed some 10 years ago!

Angi5Outstanding folks to do business with. Ron and his son are to be commended for their excellent service. I discovered my garage door had a broken spring and was inoperable early on a Saturday morning. My call for service was returned in about ten minutes and they were out to my home later that morning. They replaced the springs, and noticed some of the brackets and rollers were rusted. They replaced all the rollers, and all the work was done for a very reasonable cost. I would not hesitate to call them again if I ever need garage door service! Services Rendered: Replaced broken torsion springs, tuned up door and replaced rusted parts

Angi5I called Southern Garage Doors Inc. on Memorial Day after a disastrous garage door opener install by an unlicensed contractor, during which the bracket attaching the garage door to the door opener, and the bottom panel of the door, were damaged, leaving the door badly dented and unsafe to use. I'm a single mom of two on a very tight budget (hence me using an unlicensed contractor to try to save some bucks ? I've certainly learned my lesson), and was extremely upset at the prospect of potentially expensive remedial work to make the garage door safe and usable again. I was actually expecting a voicemail since it was a holiday, but Ron picked up and was so kind and sympathetic to my situation. He reassured me that it might not be as dire as I thought, and said he and his son could take time out of another job the next day in order to come take a look. They both showed up bang on time, and had solutions for me that wouldn't break the bank. Ron was also very reassuring about the dented bottom panel of the door, which he felt was "cosmetic" damage that wouldn't necessarily compromise its windload/impact capacity. The repairs required a return visit the next day, and the job was completed very efficiently, inside a couple of hours. The door now has a new (and far better) spring system that is the current standard, and my garage door opener is also operating as it should be (Ron's son even installed a lightbulb in it). I know nothing about garage doors, and it would have been very easy for a less scrupulous company to simply tell me the door needed to be replaced, or charge me significantly more for the repairs. Instead I had the good fortune to call one of the good guys. I have no hesitation in recommending Southern Garage Doors to anyone who needs repairs carried out, and will certainly contact Ron and his son for any future issues, and for all future maintenance/tuning of the door. I'm also taking up the company's very reasonable quote to replace the damaged bottom panel of the door in the next six weeks or so. Services Rendered: Installed two new torsion springs on my garage door, along with two new end brackets, cables, cable drums, center bracket, and a new bracket to attach the door to the door opener track. They also set opener limits on an existing garage door opener after an incomplete install by an unlicensed contractor.

We chose him because he's a local business and he right away answered our call. They had the lowest price. Services Rendered: They installed a new garage door.
