Our torsion spring snapped on a two-car garage door and I called two other local places. One phone number appeared out of service. I contacted Precision and they picked up right away and took our appointment for the next afternoon. They were clear that a service call fee would be charged. The tech (Ben) showed up on time and was nice. He inspected the damaged door, and then wrote up 4 different options to fix (from cheapest option to just replace the spring, with 90 day warranty, all the way up to replace a number of worn items with a lifetime warranty on replaced parts and service. We opted for one of the pricier options as we purchased the house a few years ago and the garage door has seen better days - not sure when it was last serviced to be honest. Precision was pretty pricey, certainly not cheap by any stretch of the imagination. However they appeared honest, clear in their options and pricing up front and he was quick to perform the work. They did appear to replace all parts with very high quality parts (compared to undersized springs, or cheap bearings / rollers that were there before. We had - 2 Torsion springs installed (for the 210 lbs door) - The new springs are roughly twice as large as what was previously installed. - 10 rollers replaced - Torsion cable replaced - Bearings, center plate and drums replaced - Tune / Lube * (the tech also did a free tune / lube for our 2nd door which did not need repair - not a huge savings but it was nice he offered) It has been a week since install and I am very happy with the smooth operation of the large door. Before it struggled and was slow to open, likely due to very undersized springs and wear and tear on the springs over 10+ years. Suggestion - I normally would expect a company to generally waive the service call fee ($119.95 when the customer has a significant amount of work done). This is what our A/C and water heater company did when our water heater died (we replaced the unit through them, so they waive the service call fee). Precision did not waive any fee (service call and lube & tune fees were still charged even though we replaced every moving part on the door - except for the door itself and the motor / rails). Would rate a 4 star on price, but 5 stars on everything else. Would recommend to others in the area, likely recommend to close friends - but would be clear they are very pricey.
They came out and gave us an estimate that was less than the other company and included taking away the old door, which the other company did not. They gave us the estimate on Tuesday and said they could install it on Wednesday. Nick showed up on time on Wednesday. Did the job himself. Job was completed and looks amazing. Took great care of our property and the door looks amazing. Services Rendered: Replace the door and all hardware.
I simply cannot express my delight in the services that both Dakota Walsh, who did the initial inspection, and Robert Mathews, who did the installation, performed. They were both courteous, friendly and respectful upon arrival. They arrived early and did a commendable service to our damaged garage door. You simply will not find better service than what you get out of Precision Door. There is no doubt I will recommend you to others. I cannot thank you all enough. **** provided the best service I have ever received in ordering my new garage door. My house is a **** ********* and we had to reframe 2 walls in the garage prior to receiving the new door. **** went above and beyond, and he personally came to my house 3 times to take measurements to ensure my new door would fit. The installation was equally impressive as ***** is a Tru PRO! he didn't mind me being in the garage during installation, answering all my questions while expertly installing the door. I couldn't be happier, and I will only use Precision garage door in the future.
We had a garage door emergency as we had a broken spring and a bent track. We called on a Friday evening and the technician Nathan was at our place within an hour. Austin was the most professional, helpful tech ever! The cord broke on a Friday of a holiday weekend. I tried to each the local company but they were on vacation. I finally called Precision at noon on Monday and he was here at 4pm! Explained to me how it all worked and fixed it, I noticed the rubber at the bottom of the door was torn so asked him to replace that on both doors, didn't have the correct one with him. Came today (Sunday) and replaced them both. He was punctual and very nice. I highly recommend him. I have 5 projects going right now, this is the only one that I was able to complete. Thank you!!
Sales guy came out to the house and left his damn sticker on my freshly painted garage door, and my screen door! Pulled the paint right off. Called management (no answer or return call) they wont be getting my business, I am still stuck fixing my BRAND NEW PAINT JOB.
We bought our house a couple of years ago and knew we should have our garage doors looked at and serviced,...but kept putting it off. Duchaum Joseph was our technician from Precision and he is very good. He did the required service and explained what everything was about, parts replaced, monthly maintenance, and periodic service annually. Great service Duchaum!!!
Prices are too expensive. Was given a three hour window just for the guy to call two hours early. Then he came fixed the one pulley that was broken. Took him exactly twenty minutes. He charged me for a set when I only needed one pulley. $220 for 20 minutes?? That's $11 per minute. Please don't see this company. Watch YouTube and save yourself the day off from work. I was overcharged and the guy didn't give me a receipt. Very disappointed. Update. The company has offered to refund the service charge but not the misquote by the salesperson. Imagine buying a car and being quoted 1000 and being charged $1200 after they swipe your card. Then they not providing the receipt until you left the dealership. Second update- the company refunded the full difference in the quote. Someone up there has ethics.
Chris came to our house to fix our garage door seal very professional and personable! But little did I know a week later after adjusting our door it buckled and now we need to replace the door. I am still waiting to hear back from Managemet very frustrating. We called to have them originally replace a liner. We upgraded the wheels and had the door adjusted. I should have just left it alone....the door is all bent now
