You have seriously got to be kidding me! These people are crooks. I wanted to get a slab door installed on my storage room and they wanted to charge me $1432 to do it. The first sign of trouble is they will charge you $85 to measure the door. This is non refundable. The slab was $760 and the labor to install it was $680 plus $77 for hardware. To put this in perspective if I was to replace all of my interior doors it would cost me over 11 thousand dollars for 8 doors. It's still too bad that I can't leave a no star review.
I first off have several challenging Weathershield windows that needed new double hung balance springs replaced and some other tedious sliders fixed because of the house settling. Tommy and Saul came out bright and early just as the appointment was scheduled. They were competent and efficient leaving me with great windows that slide again. Thanks Stan Greer for the excellent experience.
Ordered $2800 in garage doors told it would be 4-6 weeks ended up being 3months. Steve stated they would “make it right” which amounted to $158 being taken off the total bill! Secretary is VERY rude along with interrupting while talking. Would NEVER recommend this company! The only plus was the 2 men who installed the doors were very nice Services Rendered: Garage doors
We called Stan Greer Millworks based on the Angie's List reviews and our experience with their putting in new Window Wall Doors for us six years ago. I called at about 10 AM on Thursday June 26, 2014. The Steve said that they should be able to get to it that day, and that he would call me back. He did that about 1230 PM and the crew of two arrived about 1PM. It took them less than 30 minutes to do the replacement. The installation team was very professional. After watching the installation process, I was very glad I had decided not to do this myself. There is an awful lot of energy stored in those springs, and one false move could cause serious injury. They came out to get an exact measurement and I looked up all the options on the internet, then made my order. They answered all of my questions thoroughly, which helped me make my decision with confidence. They did not try to up-sell me on any part of it; they seemed concerned that I get exactly what I wanted and needed. The workers came exactly on time, finished even earlier than I expected, and did a quality job on installation. The door is great, looks great, and works exactly as it is supposed to. We had a lightning strike at our home that knocked out all three of our garage door openers. We contacted Stan Greer and they sent out a service rep the next day. They assessed the damage and set up an appointment for the following day to come back and install 3 new circuit boards for the openers. They were professional, efficient and punctual, and the price was a lot less that another quote we got. Thank you Greer Millworks! My garage door was stuck in the open position, with one wheel out of the tack and the cabling on one side off the roller. It was a mess. I was able to repair it myself and it worked fine for about 4 hours and then it happened again. I just had my garage door serviced one month ago by Sears who replaced the spring for $245.42, you can read their not so good review if you like. I knew I needed professional help so I called up Stan Greer. I spoke with Scott who was in the area working with another customer. This was on a Saturday by the way. He told me he would be over in about two hours. He arrived after one hour, talk about prompt. He took one look at the door and said, "No problem." He fixed the cables, tightened the spring, oiled it all up and had it working beautifully in less than an hour. It's working great to this day. When I asked what seemed to be the problem he mentioned that the spring wasn't tighten enough and it was the wrong type for the door, but it would still work. As you can guess I wasn't too happy about the news, after spending $245 with Sears, but was glad Scott was able to come by on such short notice to fix the problem. But the best part was yet to come. So once he was done I asked him how much did I owe. He said nothing. He didn't charge me a dime. What a great guy. I couldn't leave him empty handed so I gave him some cash for his time and travels. Services Rendered: Excellent and very professional!
