We have used Springfield Overhead Doors by Hart several times at different locations, for different reasons from fixing existing doors to replacing doors. every time they have been professional, courteous, reliable, and affordable. once they even suggested a cheaper fix for us and said it was a better quality solution, anyway, even if it didn't get them more money. Honesty and Integrity are hard to find in businesses these days, so I'd recommend them any day. During the installation, the installer realized he had the wrong color weather tripping, apologized, and was back a few hours later to finish that part of the job. Definitely showed he cared about doing the job properly and to our satisfaction. The only thing keeping me from giving five stars is that their process of confirming an appointment was not consumer-friendly. They called the day before, within an hour of the close of business, to try to confirm...I had told them I would not be available to confirm that day because I was traveling. However, they were going to reschedule if they could not confirm an appointment the day before the appointment, within an hour or so of close of business? I get that some people are chaotic with their appointments and don't remember them, but that's really not my fault. Perhaps a fee for cancelling the day of would be more appropriate? Either way, that process keeps me from giving a 5 star recommendation, but I would still use them if I ever needed maintenance or repair for our brand new garage door.

I had the best experience! Needed a door repair in the middle of the day on a Friday, they were booked out for weeks and found a way to fit me in. Customer service along with the professionalism of their tech Jeff, was an outstanding experience. Highly recommend

Been a customer off and on for years, garage door broken and could not open. Called and told at least a month. If emergency, charge $150 an hour including travel time. Midwest could come in 4 days and Illini came next morning and solved my problem.

My garage door broke on a Thursday night and I called first thing Friday morning and by 2:00 I had a service guy at my house working on the door. The service guy was very polite and knowledgeable and fixed my door in less than ten minutes. I would highly recommend the service. Thank you so much!

Even though they were booked up into the new year they got someone out the same day I called ! Their tech did a temporary repair to make it functional!! There are still great companies like this that provide great service and care about people.

Will not let me pick no stars, but this is a no star review. Very disappointed and upset with the costumer service over the phone, they are nothing but liars. The do not keep their word. Aaron has terrible costumer service and tries to accuse people when they are the ones lying. He should be fired for the way he talks to people, your costumers. I will never recommend this company to anyone and I will never use them again. Do NOT use this company if you want to be treated with any kind of respect. If Aaron is reading this, you know you are a terrible resource to this company. To the management, you need to fire this liar!!

Excellent customer service ! From the office staff to the technician everyone was professional, I would highly recommend using them for all your overhead door needs. I can not be more pleased with the spring conversion they had to do to make my door operate again.

Garage door broke -- stuck in half open position. Called them in the morning. They had a technician out the next morning. He did the repair and made sure everything was working properly both on the door that was broken and the second garage door. I'd certainly use them again.

Unfortunately late one evening over the weekend one of the cables snapped on my garage door. I called first thing Monday morning and to my surprise a repair tech showed up about three hours later. Quick and easy he replaced the cable and I was so surprised at how fast they were able to fit me in the schedule. This is my second experience working with this company and I will continue using them. Thank you for the incredible customer service both on the phone and with the repair tech who showed up, answered all of my questions and quickly fixed the issue.

Five stars is not enough! I called on a Sunday morning and got a call right back. Aaron came got my car out for me on Sunday afternoon. Michael came back to finish the job and had everything working in short order. Very professional and efficient. Sooo glad I called this local business for help.

Scheduled my appointment on Monday for Wednesday at 7:30 to replace a broken spring. The tech was here promptly and was in and out with repair made in less than an hour. Locally owned and professional. Springfield's best.

Waited 2 weeks for a call back from Aaron. Nothing. I have 2 very large overhead doors at our farm. I will someone else for maintenance of them, since no one can bother to call me on a small job.

I had a garage door opener stop working after an electrical storm. The customer service people were friendly and got a technician out at a convenient day and time. The technician was right on time and gave me options to repair or replace. He did the work quickly and disposed of all the old parts.

I have never had a problem with these folks. Had a new door and opener installed a few years back and it went without a hitch. I have had them out for tune-ups and always been happy. I saw the low marks from a few years ago while calling them for a current problem and thought I would share my experiences. Hopefully my problem is fixed satisfactorily so I don't have to send a new post next week.

I wish I read the reviews before I called them but I didn't do my homework. I needed a spring replaced on my garage door. The service tech came to my house and because he did not have all the parts he needed he put a clamp on the spring as a temporary fix. They charged me $42.00 to install a $2 clamp as a "courtesy." Then came back the next week to replace the spring and charged me another $150.00. The owner refused to remove any charges after numerous conversations. Stay away!

Terrible! Couldn't come out for week and a half then repairman shows up to fix the old opener!! I explained THEIR misunderstanding and the next month they send me a bill to pay for their mistake!!! Services Rendered: Give me an estimate and options for replacing garage door and opener.

I would give them negative stars if possible. We spent a good amount of money for a new door and install by Hart. Everything from ordering, scheduling install, and calling back regarding post install concerns/questions was terrible. Fairly nice people, but horrible customer service & communication abilities. I wouldn't let them change my battery in my remote after my experiences. Best advice....go to Illini.

The garage door company at Lincoln and Jefferson in Springfield, Illinois was given the job of installing a new door. After accepting their bid for door and it's installation...nothing but problems on their end. Had to make several calls to make the appointment. Never called me. Installation day they sent two door techs. Spent hour to set up heater. Cut out holes for door hardware in two separate panels. Installed both, one panel with door hardware and other panel with holes. Said they would replace at later date. They did not. Install technician ran into problems with door as they did not order correct parts for install. Left as soon as things did not work out. Door was left halfway up, halfway down. Door hangers were left unattached. Owner said they would be back with correct materials and replacement panel. Two months later several attempts to get them to make all good I called. The Springfield Overhead Door Company said they forgot. Then they said in order to finish job they would need another $800 on top of the first estimate to finish. This was unacceptable. Called the other Overhead Door Company. Long story short. The new garage door man repaired the hangers, balanced the door and taped up holes in damaged panel. No charge. He was embarrassed for the job his competition had done. He fixed everything Springfield Overhead Doors had contracted to do and did not. So go to Overhead Garage Door for your next project. They will finish their work and any competitors work who doesn't .

We could not connect our new Hyundai vehicle to the Genie garage door opener. In trying to make the connection using the owner's manual, I managed to not only disconnect the Homelink system to our older car but also to our two remotes. The local Hyundai dealership sent out a rep and he also could not make the Homelink system connect. Springfield Overhead Door by Hart had a tech in the area and he arrived that afternoon having called ahead to provide his arrival time. He advised that the owner's manual for this system did not work but based on his previous experience, he quickly had both cars connected as well as the two remote controls. We had been reluctant to incur additional costs after just purchasing a new car but it became clear that we needed experienced help to solve our problem. The tech from Overhead Door provided that in excellent fashion. Services Rendered: Service rep connected two autos to our Genie garage door opener as well as reconnected two remotes.

I called that morning and they were able to fit me in later that afternoon. They called ahead that they would be there in about 20 mins. I drove home about 20 mins later and they were waiting in the driveway. The gentlemen who did the work (I forget his name) was very personable and nice to work with. He very quickly removed both springs, cut new ones on sight to match/replace the old ones, installed them, and adjusted the track/distance the opener was going to close and open the door all the way. The total time was maybe 35 mins which is rather impressive if you as me. My only gripe would be that the "estimated" price over the phone was less that the cost but I suspect its because I opted to have both springs replaced and not just the one side that was broken. Either way I was very pleased with the service, the speed and the professionalism of the repair man. Hopefully I will not need them again for a few years or 5000 cycles as I was informed is the life span of the springs. Services Rendered: Right spring was visibly broken. Replaced both springs and reset the open and close distances of the motor

Their repairman was very punctual and did not waste any time in fixing and repairing my garage door.
