Great job. Called to announce arrival time. They determined my 'seals' did Not need replacing and did adust the pressure of the door only. So, the priced they quoted me was much less. Very efficient job Carol C
Accidentally damaged 2 panels on my 12 ft garage door. Called them up and the staff was extremely helpful with an estimate and had Tim the service tech out very quickly. Tim was confident in his ability and in less than one hour he had the doors back in place and temporarily repaired while we wait for the new panels to come in from the manufacturer. I couldn't believe how good he made the temp repair look and work. I'll never use anyone else!
Tim came out on a Saturday to fix garage door. He was very personable and friendly. He explained everything so well and reassured us that he could fix it. It works beautifully now. Better than it did before. I would have Tim work on my garage door anytime. Thank you so much.
To sum up the experience, great service, fast, at a reasonable price! I called about a garage door opener from the 70's that OHD had installed, which was still working, but had started to malfunction and likely needed replaced. I called on Monday morning. I got through to someone immediately, who put me down to be scheduled for a visit. She was able to provide me pricing for a fix vs a new install. After going through some options, she advised that the technician would have my preferred opener with him should the old one need replaced. Later that day, I had a day and time on the books for the same week, with a 2 hour window, along with the name of my Tech, Tim R. Tim called to let me know he was on his way, and arrived during the agreed window. We reviewed the existing unit and discussed options. No push either way, just the facts. We quickly came to a mutual agreement that a new opener was needed, and he got right to work. The whole job was done in an hour flat, with obvious quality of workmanship. A great experience overall start to finish! Highly recommend.
My garage door needed a lot of maintenance to become usable again. I received an estimate from LKB which was right on. They were very knowledgeable and detailed with explaining what was needed and even how to help keep it maintained over time. Tim R came in the next week to do the work and was very courteous and handled the job quickly. Great experience, great work, thank you.
We had some issues with our garage door not functioning properly. Tim Rudd showed up to assess the situation. He was on time and very personable. He diagnosed the issue very quickly and explained what was wrong. He went right to work and we were back in business in a short period of time. He is an asset for Syracuse Overhead Door and we are thankful he was assigned to our job.Nice to work with people that know their trade and like what they are doing.
Just had our Overhead door installed by Robert K from Overhead Door Company of Greater Syracuse. He did an amazing job taking down the old door and putting up the new one. He had to run to Home Depot because the garage door space had some issues, but he installed it in record time. He has to be one of the nicest guys I ever had the pleasure of working with. So sweet, conversational and genuine. Just a very happy person..and we all need to be around people like that more often. Terry, who set up the entire process, from ordering and scheduling was so professional and very kind. I would definately use this company again.
I decided to have Overhead Door install a new set of garage doors for me when I went to the spring homeshow in Syracuse. Sales rep came to the house and got the process started. My technician Robert K just left and I must say I'm very impressed with this company and its employees. You guys did a fantastic job! Spring busted on our garage door - visited Overhead online and put in a service request. I received a phone call shortly after to gather more info, schedule a time, and give a quote. Tim R. And Jake arrived when expected and were finished under an hour. The maintenance done on the entire garage door was incredible - I didn't realize garage doors could be so quiet! Thank you!
I needed to have a new motor on my garage door. The one we were replacing was many years old. Geoff M and Jr put a new one a few weeks ago. They did a wonderful job, definitely a 5 star job. Grateful for the quick service I received from Overhead door last Friday. My garage door wouldn't stay closed, and I was concerned that little animals could find their way in. I talked to Patricia who said they would consider me in the "emergency" list. When James came by, he solved the problem and added a handle I thought of on the spot. He was thorough in checking out the door and had a professional, but friendly, demeanor as he explained everything he was doing. I am very satisfied and will definitely call Overhead Door if I have any future problems.

We've had our Overhead Doors for several years and they're wonderful. Then one of them stopped working. Because James, who's one of their crew who works on commercial installations, was in the area they sent him over to access our problem. Luckily before he came he had loaded some parts for residential units just in case they were needed. James was terrific. He readily diagnosed the problem and was able to repair the unit while he was here. Two thumbs up to both James and the company.
I think that this company are lairs and money-grubbing crocks mI closed my garage door and I head a snap I turned around and I saw that a cable had broken. I never thought to look at the spring. I called up overhead doors and I was told that I would have to wait a week before anyone could get to me. I was also told that the first trip would be 115.00 and that included the first hour. I said to put me down and I would still see if I could find someone that would come sooner I would give them a call. Well, the next day I got a call from a guy from there and wanted to know if I would be home I said yes. He came and said that my spring was broken I look and it was. So anyway He said that if I had said it was a spring he would have had to come out to measure it to see what it took. he fix it to work if need be and said that he would have to order one and it would take two to three days and try not to use it if I didn't have to. The guy was her 15 min at the most. The next day I get a call from a young lady and she asked me if I would be home because she wanted to send two guys out to finish the job. I said now you are going to charge me for another guy and she told me no I what about the second trip out she told me no because the guy wasn't here that long. So the guys were fixed the door and left I thought that They would give me a bill. They didn't so I called up and the young lady told me what the bill was I almost dropped dead. I was waiting for the bill and waiting and in the meantime, I got a hold of a couple of overhead guys and told them what I needed and they said that it would cost me around 260.00 plus tax. These people said that the spring was 185 dollars and I asked the girl why it was so high she told me that the prices went up That is funny because the other door company said that the springs were 135.00. I had an hour of the time the guys used 45 min. of it at the most. Nobody said anything about travel time. the other companies never said anything about it. that is why they charge you 115.00. that is the travel time. So I got the bill today and they are charging me 172.00 for labor which I still had 15 min of the hour left from when they came the first time. WHich I should not be charged labor. They are not only liars they are money-grubbers they change everything so they can rip you off. If anyone is reading this please find a different overhead door company one that is and is true to their word
The scheduling was efficient and Terry , who answered the phone was so nice and helpful!! Rob was our technician and he called 20 minutes prior to arrival ...he arrived at our house right on time... he did the installation of the new unit without issue. All during the visit he kept me informed and was driving out of our driveway in an hour. The garage door works perfectly now! We have dealt with this company since we built our house 22 years ago and have always been beyond satisfied with them...would highly recommend!!!
