We called and informed we had a commercial garage door that had two issues; problem with reception of remote signals and that it was stuck in the up position. I was informed that they charged a min. show up fee which I accepted. When they got there the next day, they called and said that they needed to be two persons to handle the garage. When they arrived days later, I was told that it would cost $450 to fix the problem. I requested to know what their hourly rate was, excl. materials. I was told that they only worked on a fixed price and that it did not matter if this took 15 min. or 4 hours, the price was $450. I told them that as a customer, I did not appreciate their approach as I had very little ability as a customer, to understand if this was a fair or unreasonable fee for the problem. I said I was happy to agree on an hourly charge plus materials, but was forced to accept their fixed price demand as I needed the door fixed as it had been inoperable for a week after having been stood up by another repair company...
20 min. later they called and said they were finished and had left the property. I asked them if they had tested and fixed the remote issue, to which I was told that they only had registered that the door wood not close, not that there was a remote issue which I clearly communicated when I ordered the service!! However, they offered to go back and test to follow up on the remote. They did come back and tested a couple of our tenants remotes and they claimed it worked, which they did - for a day... but has not worked since. Called back yesterday, and informed that the remotes again did not work. Now I was again told to have to accept a new $100 show up charge for the same problem and a fixed quote on top of that to whatever fix they would recommend, even though they obviously did not fix this the first time. They also indicated that there was a strong probability that I would have to replace the complete garage opener as they did not know if they could get parts, and/or if they needed to change the remotes (have 11 remotes...). My conclusion is that I cannot recommend this company to others, they seem to me that they use any opportunity to squeeze the max. money out of you, not to give you a fair and reasonable service. I will never use this guys again..!
