You've got to love it when everything works out when having a service done own your home. One of the springs for my garage door broke the other night. I didn't have time to take care of it during the week, so I opted to have it done on Saturday. I called and the operator, she was super nice, and informative. I asked if I could get my spring fixed on Sunday and she said she had an opening that day between 4-8pm. I took that slot. At 3:20 I received a call from the technician Grant, that mentioned he could come early, so he did. He was super nice and presented me with multiple options. I made the selection and he got to work. He even went the extra mile and adjusted 2 brackets that were installed improperly from the original company. In less than an hour, he was done. He told me all that he did, I paid him and he left. The icing on the cake was when I shut my garage door and it was super quiet. The funny part is that I remembered their marketing jingle, made it super easy for me to not think about who I should call. LOL. Thanks Precision Door. Great experience!
A spring broke late afternoon on a Friday, had to get car out of garage so my neighbor andstruggled to open and prop up to remove car, called for quick service and Precision showed up in 4 hours to repair and redo some of the parts along with two new springs. It was twice as much as I guessed it would be however Chris did a careful job and showed me the fatigued parts should be good for 8 more years!
Seemed not cheap to me but I guess you get what you pay for. Plus I did not have time to shop around. Technician was very polite, clean and knowledgeable; gave me several options with pros and cons. He was very quick fixing the problems and replacing what needed to be replaced. Had an appointment set for the PM and they called me to let me know they could come earlier if I was available and I was so all was done quicker than expected. Would certainly recommend but if you have time and not an emergency, maybe shop around for better pricing.

This is my second house that precision has done for me now and each time the technician Zack Harrison has been great! Very informative and gave me a list of options to choose from for my replacement. Highly satisfied with his service and knowledge of the products they offer. Had my replacement installed the very next day by Brandon who was fantastic and his work ethic is second to none! SCAM! Positive reviews must be fake. They charged $425 to fix my garage door, but never fixed it. It is a roll-up door and it got opened too far and was jammed. When the technician came out he looked at it for 2 minutes and said that it wasn't just jammed but needed a gear wheel replaced, and that it would cost $175 for the part and $250 for the labor. I agreed, and ten minutes later he told me it was all done. I never saw a replaced part. I saw him manually roll it up with the chain a couple of feet to fully open and he assured me it was fixed. He said there was also a blown fuse, but he didn't have any so once I replaced the fuse it would work fine. I ordered replacement fuses and put one in it. I immediately realized it was not working and did not even work manually with the chain. When pulling the chain it would slip or jam. They said they could come back out for a new service charge and provide an additional repair estimate. I asked for a refund and they refused. Services Rendered: Roll-up garage door repair
Called for a diagnosis, *** came and replaced opener and all hardware. He did a great job. The garage is so smooth and quiet now now.
Over priced and put 2 different size springs in which will eventually put too much load on smaller spring and wont last as long.

I had this company install a new garage door back in 2020, called them to come out because i was having issues with door staying down, it would come back up and would not stay down, he said he re-programmed the motor and got it to work, however he mentioned that a torsion cable was starting to break and that it needed to be replaced, also said that it was time for a lubrication, i asked him how much for both and he quoted me $749.00, i said whaaaaaat, are you serious??? i looked online to see how much a torsion cable cost and found one for $ 11.99, a better one would cost $ 19.99, also went on you tube to see how people lubricate garage doors and all you need is a can of w-d 40, thats it, so i went and showed him that i found a cable for as low as 11.99 and also mentioned that to lubricate the door and hinges all you need is a can of w-d 40 and the look on his face was priceless, LoL, so i said your company charges about $ 715.00 for about 1 hour of labor haa ?? he said sorry but it is what the company charges , i don't set prices, Be VERY VERY careful with these types of company's , they will try and rip you off as much as they can, needless to say they will not ever be coming back to my house for any garage repairs that i need done, ( just in case if the company messages me back on this review my name is Pedro from tampa fl, your tech came out today 8/12/23 @ 9:02 AM, a lot of company's will reply to reviews with , I don't find you in our system, well i'm there and YES this is real. Was getting ready to leave the house on a Saturday and the garage door wouldnt open all the way. I figured out the spring was broken. Thanks to the commercials, I called Precision. The pleasant phone person said they could have someone out within 1-5 hours. Ok. 30 minutes later, *****, the tech called, said he was nearby, just finished a job and would it be ok to come over. Yes! The spring was brokenoriginal 30 year old garage door. He showed me what and the price of what was needed and what he recommended for an old garage door. Superb guy and the door was working within a hour. Not sure about comparison pricing but, definitely was happy with the quick and efficient work.
I have used Precision 2 times with no problems. They were responsive, showed up on time and were knowledgeable. The technician did not try to upsell me anything. when I asked about my springs he checked and said they would be OK for awhile. He showed me what to look for before they are getting ready to break. My neighbor had the same problem a few months later and paid over $200 more for the same repair.
BUYER BEWARE! These guys are scam artists. The techs they sent out lied about our garage doors, made up a HUGE story about all the upgrades that were required and then they put in a new motor that retails for $350. They never provided a quote and were very nervous when I had to return home to pay them (without any quote to reference). Final result we were charged $3,933.00!
I’ve had my door less than a year. Three times I called to double check on how to lubricate the door and there was no returned call. I found video instructions on YouTube and lubricated the door. The door was still noisy, so I called the company. The main company relayed the wrong message to the Michiana POD. My issue was not covered under warranty. A house call was $75. A door so new should not be causing such problems. Poor post customer service. Beware!

Had them come out for an estimate to fix a broken cable. I was quoted $4,925.00 for a new door, parts, etc. I called another vendor and it was repaired for $129.00. BEWARE!!
Called Precision first for quote to replace garage door springs. Tech provided a "recommendation" that included many items beyond the broken spring, which added to a surprisingly large amount. Said I could remove any, but coached that doing so would be unwise. Since I had an idea of what it should cost - a few hundred dollars - challenged him to reconsider. No deal. Instead, I got second quote from national firm that replaced both springs for 335 + tax, then lubricated and adjusted door. Nothing more needed. I guess Precision needed the extra 2800 more than I needed them. Lesson - get a second bid! Services Rendered: Replace torsion springs on garage door

DO NOT use this co. We ordered a premium brand door and the vendor is not one they had used much. The door was not like the pictures. The Precision rep agreed. To get the look we wanted I had to source new glass for the door (and the CI. said the glass I got was not as advertised). The door was damaged taking it apart, Precision DID NOT do the work—I had to find a repair co—it cost about $3k AND Precision is STILL trying to collect full balance due, has a lien on the house. They should have gone back to their vendor and asked for a refund but instead still try to collect money—less the repairs—BUT the door in now in scratch and dent shape. The company is terrible. Based on the online reviews, I called and service technician Matt Hink responded. Couldn’t be more pleased with the way he showed me exactly where the problems were and multiple options to fix them. I chose to replace most of the broken and old hardware (which he was able to do right then because he had a stocked van) and I now enjoy a 7 yr warranty on those parts. If I do have to call on the warranty or any of the existing parts fail, I will specifically ask for Matt to be assigned, but I’m sure all your employees have the same integrity and work ethic.
