Scheduled my garage door install with Joel, said he would be onsite by 11:30. Called him at 12:30 no answer. Received a call over an hour later saying his van broke down. Not sure why he couldn't let me know before he was more than 2 hours late.
Came the next day and installed the door and opener but said he couldn't finish the opener install because there was a bad safety sensor. Requested a new sensor from the manufacturer and days later after spending several hours trying to install, troubleshoot and work with tech support to no avail, I finally discovered that Joel wired the sensors and the door control incorrectly! Once I rewired it the opener worked fine.
Then I come to realize the door is crooked. I call Joel to let him know. He tells me he'll be in the area on Saturday and he'd stop by to work on it. Never shows up. I call and leave a message and he texts back several days later and says he couldn't make it but he'd swing by next week. I ask what day and he never responds and never stops by.
I found out from the garage door manufacturer, Wayne Dalton, that he's been dropped as their local vendor due to his unreliability. I can see why.
