Used 74 Garage door to replace an old garage door at a home we recently purchased. They were very quick to respond and complete the job. The garage door looks great! However I did have a few issues. . One - there was no light bulb placed in the new opener. Two - we did not receive remotes to open the garage door. It was my understanding it was included. When we contacted to find out - we did not receive a response. Three- we were also under the impression that they would haul away everything from the old garage door. But that was not the case. All the pieces parts were put in our trash can which filled it to the top.
The 74 Garage Door Co. was referred to me by my handywoman, Jennifer Curell. Since, the company was referred I called them first. I told Jesse that the spring on my garage door broke. He gave me an estimate, that included installation, tune-up and safety checks. In the meantime, I called each garage door company listed in our East St. Lucie Living magazine. A total of four companies in and servicing St. Lucie County. Only one potential out of the four, not good and very frustrating. So I went back to the beginning, called 74 Garage Door and spoke with Jesse. He was able to schedule an appointment for the next morning between 8-9 am. He arrived at 8:05 am and assessed the problem with the door. Then, he gave me a price within the previous estimate with a quote of approximately 30 mins to complete the job. Approximately about 30 mins later, Jesse had replaced the springs, performed safety check and tune-up. We're extremely satisfied with the work we received. The 74 Garage Door Co. is establishing a presence in St. Lucie County. For our family, they will continue to be our first choice.
74 Garage Door was one of 3 companies I called for a commercial garage door installation. They were by far the best option: great communication, knowledgeable when they came for the estimate, and quick turnaround for scheduling and getting the work done. 74 Garage Door Company has been amazing!! We have 2 old buildings with 20 large bay doors that seem to have constant issues. And one new building with 9 Bays and even they have issues. Our calls have always been answered promptly and courteously. They have repaired every door problem we have encountered!. They understand our business requires access into and out of our bays. They show up quickly and work until it is done. We have now hired them to do preventative clean up on all our old doors, from cleaning the bearings on all the wheels to cleaning and straightening out the tracks, every thing will be greased and fingers crossed rolling smoothly! I wish all businesses were worked this hard to help a fellow business owner out. Thank you, Jesse and Tim!!!!
This is the way a business should be run. Tim is not only a real professional by a really kind person. There are far too many businesses who are worried only about the $$. Short and sweet Tim made himself personally available to my tenants who are elderly and were having issues with the garage door. He bumped our project to the top of the list and made sure that they did not need to worry about the door not closing/opening properly. This was also of great comfort to me since I live in upstate NY. I have dealt with his company in the past and have always spoken with his wife on the phone. Very professional installation with excellent correspondence and communication directly with the owner. Owner returned to tweak a minor issue with the door, and assisted in all customized settings including iPhone app to operate door. Very pleased with the door recommendation and the overall quality of workmanship. Nice people; small business; personalized service.
