When my garage door opener "stuck", I called Evan on a Friday, and he called and came as promised the following Monday morning. He immediately diagnosed the issue, explained the problem in understandable terms, knew exactly how to fix it, and had the replacement parts in his truck. Both doors now work great. Evan is personable, pleasant, prompt, and knowledgeable, an excellent professional and quality human being. I would highly recommend his expertise and service! Thank you. Evan. Best contractor experience I have ever had over twenty years of home ownership. On the phone, Evan laid out four options for the door replacement, pointing out the insurance savings related to each: (1) new hurricane-rated garage door @ around $1600; (2) extensive improvements to the existing door @ around $600; (3) modest improvements to the existing door @ around $350; (4) d.i.y. with him supplying a horizontal strut and offering advice at minimal cost. Due to other features of the house, I would never recoup any of the expenses from reduced insurance premiums. And I already owned two old-style braces from the previous owner, though he had never installed them. So I opted for (4). Within a couple days, he delivered the strut, and looked over the install, giving me advice on various improvements for 15-20 min. Since he was nearby on another job, he declined to charge me for a service call. (I did not want to take advantage, so I did pay something extra.) Remarkably generous with his time and knowledge. I will certainly use him when it comes time to replace the door. Services Rendered: I was considering replacing my non-rated garage door with a hurricane-rated door.

Evan responded on time and diagnosed the problem immediately. A plastic part on the Genie garage door opener had worn out and the door would not lift. He replaced the part and had it working within 30 minutes and also lubricated the door and checked the operation. It is now working flawlessly. He was polite and professional and explained everything he did. Services Rendered: Garage Door would not go up.

I had coastal garage upgrade my existing wind rated door to a wind rated 160mph / impact rated door. The install took exactly 4 hours the installer was exceptionally expedient and clearly knew his garage doors. He also made sure to tell me if there was ANYTHING wrong to call them and they would be out to fix it. Communication: I must say Evan was amazing when it came to answering the phone. There wasn't a single time I called that he didn't answer. We had some snafu's getting the permit closed but it wasn't his fault and he sure tried hard as **** to get the inspector out here. I can't say enough good things about that, so far the best at communication I've ever seen. Payment was easy, I was able to do it over the phone with a credit card. I do the final payment when the permit is closed. Evan was agreeable to that. Permit: No issue there, Evan took care of everything I just had to tell him when I was available for the final inspection. Price: I got an insulated wind/impact rated door. It was $1700 which seems fair maybe a little high but I have nothing else to compare it to. I would buy it again. Negatives: The sticker they give you that says what the door is does NOT want to stay on. I had to superglue and then finally packing tape it to the door. Looks kinda tacky. Would be nice if there was another way to secure that thing. I will definitely use these guys for all my garage door needs!!
