They are a great company. We have used them a few times. They are on time, they answered all our questions and did not make us feel ignorant. Would recommend them to all.
Always use this company and every time they come out they do a fantastic job. I thought I needed a new garage door opener and the technician that they sent told me there's nothing wrong with the garage door opener it just needs a little bit of adjustment. Save me a lot of money and everything's working perfect now highly recommend this company
I had American Home Shield which did not do a good job AT ALL of replacing the quality of the Garage Door Opener that I had, nor the # of manual clickers I had - AHS has turned into a company of not helping at the level they SHOULD, but at the level of what's cost effective for them. When I contacted ALways Open & Shut Garage Door & explained my dissatisfaction after my disastrous experience & phone conversations with AHS, Always Open & Shut was MOST helpful in figuring out a way that I could get the quality I had (& the # of manual clickers I had). Macy politely listened to my issues & spoke with her manager & then discussed with me in a very considerate manner what their proposals were. I called just now - someone is coming to my home tomorrow. I am very happy with ALways Open & Shut Garage Doors (not at all happy, & in fact cancelling, with American Home Shield).
This company is amazing. They always go out of their way to make sure the customer is happy! Dave came out to help when my car was stuck in the garage and was able to repair it the same day. If you ever are in need of garage door service, this is the company to call!
I was assigned this company through my home warranty. I waited during my appt time, only to be given a company card from another delivery person. When I called to find out what happened, I was told that the doorbell was broken so the tech knocked; this is the same doorbell used in the same timeframe by the delivery person that worked just fine. They also said they left a message- not received. When I inquired about when the tech could come back, I was told that he's really busy and can't make it back until next week. Then the rude office manager Maggi picks up the phone unannounced, stating that "there's no reason for all this." I guess she thought that was the appropriate way to address a PAYING customer, but she proceeds to say how I've paid them nothing. I have a contract with a company that they are contracted with; I paid my money with them prior to this company's assignment to the task. She then reports that he rang the doorbell twice- despite the first person saying that it didn't work. These folks are unprofessional, not truthful and a total waste of time. This isn't the first time we've had issues of unprofessionalism with this company, but last time, a tenured technician came and apologized for the nonsense. Needless to say, I'll have another contracted agency come out to provide the service. Thankfully, the home warranty company reassigned other technicians to fix the issue. *** Funny response. I never apologized for using profanity, as I never used profanity, nor did I have kind words for the office staff since Maggie was the unprofessional person who exacerbated the situation rather than offering a solution! Mitch did arrive- uninvited, but he was pleasant. The other info listed in the response is simply not true. Considering the patronizing response, no I wouldn't reuse this service!
Don't call anyone else for your garage door needs! This company is on time. Professional. Nice. They know exactly what they are doing when it comes to repairs maintenance and sales. They've helped me a few times and I am always happy with the end result.
This was a referral from a home warranty service and after reading some of the reviews, I was a bit skeptical. I couldn't have been happier. Mitchell was our tech and was on-time, very professional and had my problem diagnosed and fixed within about 5 minutes. He helped me with some knowledge about the doors and openers for my next one and gave me some valuable tips on how to maintain my current system as well as recommendations for any new equipment in the future. I will 100% recommend this company and especially Mitchell for your garage door needs. Thanks again!
This company was assigned to me via my home warranty. After reading some of the reviews, I was a little nervous about the work they may do and the experience I may have with them BUT I must say I am 100% satisfied with them and for that reason I wanted to write my own review. They were prompt to contact me, prompt to schedule and on time! William evaluated the problem quickly and repairs were done in about an hour. My garage spring & cables were broke. I also choose to have new rollers installed. William was kind, courteous and professional. From my experience I would recommend this company!
Great service! Call was returned very promptly, technician came on the dot at the beginning of the indicated 2-hour window and was courteous and informative. Confirmed our positive impressions of this company from when we originally had them install our garage door last year. The price was right too! Services Rendered: tune-up and lubrication on garage door installed last year
Our home warranty service engaged this contractor. They were great. The first visit diagnosed the fault, a broken torsion spring. Mitchell opened the door to free our car, and took a photo of the serial number plate on the spring, and told me they would order the correct part from the manufacturer. They did, and Mitchell returned in a few days with the part. He installed it quickly with no false moves. I understand I have a three year warranty on the work. Everything went very smoothly. Services Rendered: Garage door opener wouldn't work
Very good and on time Services Rendered: Automatic door opener didn't work. The technician got it working and then checked and lubricated the door.
It was horrible from day one. The installation was subpar. Door gasket was buckled. I complained and the owner replaced it himself but gasket still does not lay flush to the door so essentially it is pretty useless, allowinf insects and elements to go through. Two days after door was installed, it malfunctioned. Since it was the weekend, had a friend look at the door who said the company needed to fix it. Called the company and was told because my friend "worked" on it, that the warranty was voided. Tried to explain that he did not work on it. We just looked at the owner's manual and the door. The serviceperson came to do adjustments and tried to sneakily get me to sign the work order that says that this was a courtesy service and that I would have to pay for any future problems because of my voided warranty. Well the door continued to malfunction (cable jumping out of the spool, door stuck open cockeyed, door opening halfway then closing, etc....) constantly. I had family issues at the time and was flying back and forth to Michigan, and everytime I came back home, I had to deal with a malfunctioning door. The company was really nasty and gave me a hard time on the phone even accused me of sabotaging the door for attention! I went to Costco to complain because it was through Costco, I hired Always Open and Shut Garage Door. Costco said that it was not their responsibility but did help me contact the LiftMaster rep. I also threatened to call the ROC and to put up a sign in front of my house when my door was stuck crooked to alert other people of the company's shoddy workmanship. Then they would grudgingly show up, taking their time and coming with a nasty, hostile attitude, and "temprarily fix" the problem like putting the cable back into the spool, but a short time later, the door malfunctioned again. After much headache and heartache, I finally called Garage Door Repair of Tucson (520-548-9868) which was recommended by a friend. I knew by hiring another company, my "warranty" with Always Open and Shut would be voided. After Garage Door Repair adjusted the springs and changed out the "cheap" rollers, I have had no further problems with my garage door, and it has several years now. I "saved" $300 by going through Costco, and hiring Always Open and Shut but ended up a lot poorer, financially and emotionally. As I have said, the door gasket has never been flushed with the door but with the door itself malfunctioning, it was consided to be a minor problem at the time. PLEASE be aware of the ordeal I went through, and I pray it doesn't happen to you. Marsha Ma Services Rendered: Had a garage door with opener installed.
I contacted the Always Open and Shut garage door service and told them my garage door leaked. I would like to get it fixed. I asked that someone come to my house to give me an estimate. I was told there would be a service charge if they came to my house to give an estimate. How do they know exactly what needs to be done? In Angie's List they stated that they give free estimates. This is misleading and not fair to the customer to then be told that there is a charge for an estimate. How do they know exactly what is going on with my garage door and if something else is causing it to leak? Some people are on fixed incomes and need to know costs before work is to be done. Services Rendered: Nothing except call me back.
