Called brand X first and not Prompt Overhead door. Brand x dropped,door,, bent panels and said door needed to be replaced for $4500.00. Called Prompt . They showed up on time and repaired everything brand x screwed up for less than $350.00. Great service and technician was a true professional. My advice is to call Prompt first.

The two installers were On Time, Friendly, and knowledgeable. They left a very clean work space as I am very particular about cleanliness. I was happy to recommend them to my father who had a great experience with them as well and loves his new Garage Doors and Openers. I Will Definitely be using them again soon to install Roll Up Doors in my New Shop! The spring on my garage door one morning. It took both my husband and myself to get the door open and get my car out. I contacted Prompt Overhead Door and they sent a service technician out within the hour. They repaired the spring quickly and the price was reasonable. I have since recommended them on my neighborhood facebook page and several people have used them. I will not hesitate to call them if I have any more garage door needs. I've used Prompt Overhead Door before with good results. They've done good work and had good prices. This time was the same, except they left the garage door unlocked and my house was robbed. The thieves cut out the copper pipes in the basement and took the coil from the HVAC as well. This has cost thousands of dollars to repair, but Prompt Overhead Door would not budge on the price they quoted and would not cover any of the damages. They insisted that they did not leave the door unlocked, but it was open when we came to the house on Monday and was like new - as in, not forced open. There were no other doors or windows opened and you could see where the thieves had tried to pry open the back door but failed. They went through the garage door instead, because it was open. I understand that mistakes happen but I wish this company had worked with me to make this better. There are lots of competitively priced garage door companies in Birmingham. I will choose someone else next time. Services Rendered: Replace two garage doors and install garage door openers
