Give people a little more than they expect and you have a customer for life. That's an old business adage that seems to have faded into a oblivion. However, it's a practice that's very much alive with Burke Overhead Door. The night before a three week trip the spring on my garage door broke rendering it useless. I was concerned that my wife would have to deal with that while I was gone so I called Burke. Bob went out of his way to assure me that he would take care of it the very next day, only hours after I had left, and that I needn't worry. True to his word he did just that, but here's the kicker, he didn't charge us a penny.
Bob had just been at my house the week before to replace the garage door light sensors and in passing we chuckled that it was a good thing it wasn't the spring or I'd of been stuck that day. Turns out Bob felt so bad about that unfortunate coincidence that he decided not to charge me anything. It worked, with anything garage door related I'm a customer for life.
