Yelp5I wanted to give a 5 star review for California Garage Doors. Leo arrived on time for the consultation. I picked out the garage door. Five days later it was installed. The door is beautiful and works great. I highly recommend Leo at California Garage Doors.

Google5They came out the same day I called and showed up at the time they said. The door was repaired quickly and the service person was kind and respectful of our home. I would absolutely use California garage door again.

He has performed service on my old opener, replaced the door and opener through the years. I highly recommend California Garage Door for replacements and service. Top notch!

Yelp5Had a wonderful experience today with repairing my garage door. The spring had broken and the repair person was able to come out immediately. He fixed the spring on my garage doors and he just made it very easy to get it all fixed.

Google5We're very pleased with the service provided by California Garage Doors. We have had different types of service done over the past ten years and we have recommended the company to others. The technician banged out some pretty severe dents and saved us a lot of money. The close up shows the worst damage that had occurred to the panel. The full-door picture was taken after the work was done.

Yelp1Came out for a spring repair. Would not give me an exact price even after looking. Kept saying they had to unwind it to know for sure. Tries to upsell me on a heavy duty spring for 400 more. I could not find an actually heavy duty spring online. Finally agreed to 500 total job. In the middle , wanted to convince me to change a drum and wire for 300. These are $30 parts and the labor is the same as using my existing ones. At the end, the tech was so nice that he discounted his labor from 185 to 0. All i had to pay for were for the two springs at 250 each plus tax. So they added another 46 on to the full agreed price. These springs are about 130 for a set but they heavily mark them up. I get it, a house in Encino and Mercedes lease are not cheap. Only positive was job was done quick and seems to be working. Would not put it past this company to sabotage the wire so it snaps in the near future in hopes of another service call.

Yelp5I was in a jam so I can't address the value issue. My door jammed in a partially open position and rain was imminent. I called CGD at around 5:30 pm, not expecting someone to answer more less show up. Leo came by about 10 minutes later and took care of business. Even if I could have had the repairs done more cheaply, the responsiveness was worth the trade off. It is nice to have the door working again. Thanks Leo!

Yelp5When my garage door went off track, I found California Garage Doors on Yelp and they came out to look at the door. Leo was prompt, and quickly took care of the problem, with a price that was fair and reasonable. I happened to ask him if, while he was there, he could fix my front gate since it had some issues closing. Leo looked at the issue and quickly took care of it, as well. I knew I was pressing my luck, but I wanted to ask one more thing, since Leo seemed to be some kind of miracle-man. I had wanted to install a keypad outside my garage door to be able to open and close it, but a previous technician had told me it was not possible due to the location of the garage door motor. When I told Leo that, he took it as a personal challenge, getting up on a ladder and climbing to the location of the motor, going above and beyond to see whether the "impossible" was in fact possible. And what do you know, with a little diligence, Leo saw that the motor could be accessed in its location by opening a small panel in the drywall (you'd have to see my garage to understand). Miracle man status achieved. Even though he didn't have any keypads on hand, he was willing to go buy one for me, come back and install it -- which he did quickly and according to my specifications. Overall, it was the kind of encounter with a business that makes you want to log in to Yelp and leave a 5 star review. I will certainly be coming back to California Garage Doors for any future needs, and would recommend them to anyone in need of Garage Door-related installation or repairs.
