I had a wonderful experience with Independent from start to finish. I am a new homeowner and, in the process of moving things in, my garage door stopped opening. On a weekend, of course. Nevertheless, I reached out to these guys and Mark, a co-owner, called me back almost right away to talk through the problem. Once we figured out it was something that could wait until a weekday, he said he'd make a note to have Nicole call first thing on Monday.
Sure enough, Monday morning rolled around and I got a call from Nicole (who is so great!) first thing. Vinny was out within a couple of days and both fixed the immediate issue and diagnosed the underlying problem (a bad operator). He was very straightforward in saying I could limp along with the current operator for awhile if I wanted and left replacement up to me.
I ultimately decided to just go ahead and replace and Mark was back out with a new unit just a few days after that. Mark is just amazing -- a friendly, deeply knowledgeable guy who takes the time to do everything, big and little (running wires with near-obsessive neatness, for instance), to make sure the job is done just right.
I really cannot say enough good things about this team. They get the job done right, quickly, and at reasonable prices. On top of that, they're just a pleasure to deal with. I have found my garage door company for life.
