Two guys, Yoel and Vincent, showed up in less than 30 mins to get my issue fixed. If you are looking to fix your garage door, don't look further. Mike and crew came a few weeks ago and replaced our two very inefficient garage doors and it was absolutely perfect. Wish the day was a bit warmer but felt like I knew Mike for years going back to when we first met back in June when he gave us the estimate and product suggestions and was very clear what work would be done. Mike is a man of his word and everything he promised to be done was done. The 16 to 18 week lead time to order the doors flew by but it was worth the wait. My wife and I want to thank Mike, crew, and Nicole (who is an extreme pleasure to deal with back at the office) for a great painless experience from beginning to end. Thanks again! I had 2 new garage doors and operators installed and I'm very happy with the result. Mike was very transparent to work with he made sure everything was just right before ordering the doors. Nicole was great to communicate with from start to finish. Mike and Vincent showed up on time for the install and got the job done as expected. I can say this was a great overall experience and I highly recommend Independent Garage Doors!!!
I had a wonderful experience with Independent from start to finish. I am a new homeowner and, in the process of moving things in, my garage door stopped opening. On a weekend, of course. Nevertheless, I reached out to these guys and Mark, a co-owner, called me back almost right away to talk through the problem. Once we figured out it was something that could wait until a weekday, he said he'd make a note to have Nicole call first thing on Monday. Sure enough, Monday morning rolled around and I got a call from Nicole (who is so great!) first thing. Vinny was out within a couple of days and both fixed the immediate issue and diagnosed the underlying problem (a bad operator). He was very straightforward in saying I could limp along with the current operator for awhile if I wanted and left replacement up to me. I ultimately decided to just go ahead and replace and Mark was back out with a new unit just a few days after that. Mark is just amazing -- a friendly, deeply knowledgeable guy who takes the time to do everything, big and little (running wires with near-obsessive neatness, for instance), to make sure the job is done just right. I really cannot say enough good things about this team. They get the job done right, quickly, and at reasonable prices. On top of that, they're just a pleasure to deal with. I have found my garage door company for life.
I cannot say enough about the quality of the service that I've received from Mark and Co at Independent Garage Doors. They installed two new garage doors at my former house at more than reasonable pricing. They came by when they said that they would and did the job completely with expertise that can only come from the experience that one gains for being in the business for as long as they have. My experience with Independent was duplicated when I lost service in one of my garage doors at my new place. Mark quickly evaluated the problem that was not simple and got me back in business for, again, a more than fair price. Please do yourself a favor and call Independent if you need garage door installation or service.
For many days, my garage door opener was not doing its job. It would open half way, and go back down. Personally, trying to fix the problem became an excercise in futility and very frustrating. After checking around, I called Independent Garage Door. I'm glad I did. Mark was great. Not only did he fix the opener issue, he performed overdue maintenance on the door chain, wheels,etc. I had him replace the old, outside, touch pad as well. Price for all the work was very reasonable. The garage door opener is working beautifully. I definitely would recommend, and call them again when needed.
Mark and Steve had us very pleased. They took the time to straighten the sleeve; replaced the gasket and the old springs that were teased; tuned up and greased all the movements with ease so winter will fly by without a care or breeze (blowing into the garage that is). Now that the door is tight and serene we are kicking back with our fingers intact sipping on hot chocolate and moving in and out without any keys. Five stars and celebratory cigars but please no smoking in the garage.
Independent garage were great to deal with along with prompt, couteous and excellent service and would highly recommend them to family and friends. The service technician was absolutely an expert at his craft as I needed repairs to my garage box lights and a garage door switch. He also made a few other repairs as he noticed my springs were stretched out on the doors. It was like my garage doors had a physical exam at a very reasonable price. Would definitely do business with them again.
When one of my two 20+ year old garage door openers started acting up I called Independent Garage Door. I had a good conversation with the woman who answered the phone and after going over all of my options, I elected to just have them come out an replace both of the openers given their age. She stayed on the phone with me while I measured my doors and within 10 minutes I had a detailed quote (a great price) and an appointment. The morning of the scheduled install, I received a phone call letting me know the estimated time the crew would be there. I received another call to let me know the crew was on their way. The crew arrived 30 minutes early and got to work. Within just a few minutes the technician advised me that he found the problem with the opener and he offered to repair it instead of just going forward with the new installs. He told me it would be a quick and inexpensive fix and I would probably get a few more years out of the old ones without any issues. Despite the offer, I went ahead with the replacement as they were over 20 years old and I wanted the peace of mind. I greatly appreciated their honesty and the offer to fix over replace. I am not sure too many businesses would have been handled it that way. That being said, I am 100% satisfied with my new door openers. They are whisper quiet and they even took the time to reconfigure the set up to make the new install look neat and organized. They took the time to go over the features and owners manual and told me if I had any questions, just give him a call. When they were done they swept my entire garage and left it cleaner then what it was before they started. The installer told me he works every job like he is doing it at his own house and that really showed in the finished product. Can't say enough how satisfied I am with this business. Great customer service, installed a great product and honest. I highly recommend Independent Garage Door and I would use them again in a heartbeat!

Mike and his crew did an excellent job of replacing a very worn 40 year old wood door. Very reasonable cost and the work was completed when promised for the estimated price. Removed all the old material and completed everything quickly and professionally. I have no reservation to recommend Independent for your garage door needs.

great place to deal with, had a old door that just had to go, talked to vinny about a new door and gave me some good advise, so I went with what he had to offer, they set up a time and all I had to do was remove my door, not a problem, well he came early buy that was fine because he finished early and I had the rest of the day to myself, nice guy to talk to while he was working, I offered my help but he didn't want any so I just stayed out of the way, well I got me a very nice door now that the wife can lift to get her car out of, I would recommend him anytime, thanks vinny, ask for a raise, you should get one, great job cleaning up too.
