eveything was very poor, every part of this experience including scheduling a repair. 4 calls 2 weeks later I still have no workingdoor. had to cancel root canal because they were so busy. imagine the joy of them shoing up at 316pm and not able to fix door no parts. on truck and work stops at 3? was promised immediate quote all parts are on truck same day service, didnt happen. never came back and when i called they said i asked for quote no one has to call you back for quote. yeah no
Had a new opener installed Tech I think his name was Dylan was very nice to deal with , picked up all the trash, was out pretty quick I wound recommend them to do work!!
Have used other Overhead Door franchises in the past and found them to be excellent in every way. So, I needed 2 new garage doors in Metro West area and called Overhead Door Co of Worcester. I called their Leominster office due to their geographical location and worked with their salesperson, Mark. He seemed very nice and met me at the residence to supply a quote. I specifically remember him asking if I wanted trolley plates installed in the event they were upgraded to automatic door openers at a later date. I remember cringing at the additional cost associated with them as I wanted to do this as cheaply as possible as the doors were being replaced to sell the house. It took about 3 months for the doors to arrive and be installed- time frame was anticipated based on what I was told. I started questioning my company choice as a made several calls to Mark over the course of the waiting period. Each time he acted like he didn't know me and I had to give him multiple clues to figure out who I was and then find my paperwork. Anyway, a few weeks after the doors went in I began to wonder if the trolley plates were ever installed. In the course of about 3 weeks I called Mark and texted him with a picture of the doors. Each time I waited to hear back from him as he promised, but nothing. I always had to call back to follow through as well as make my own phone call to his associate to check as to whether or not the doors actually needed the trolley plates. His assistant, Kathy was very nice and said I did. She offered to have them installed, but as the house was now under contract I explained I couldn't make any changes and asked for a refund. She said she's report to Mark and he'd get back to me. Again, I had to call Mark. Now he told me there was no additional charge for the trolley plates. He specifically wrote them on the estimate (no charge breakout). If they were included for no additional charge, then why did he write them on the estimate- they simply should have just been installed, He got loud with me, didn't want to refund any money but said to have the new homeowners contact him and he'd install them at no charge. Given his overall reaction, I'm reluctant to pass on the info to new owners as I'm afraid they may then be charged for these plates. Also, given his attitude I'm not sure I'd recommend this company to the new owners. In retrospect, at the time of the estimate I should have had him put down the actual price for the plates rather than just lump it all together with the cost of the doors. Buyer beware.
Very satisfied with customer service ...especially Kathy in showroom and Darren in the field...They - as a team go above and beyond to help all customers and very knowledgeable in the business.....very satisfied and will highly recommend...
My 6 year old automatic garage opener stopped working. The motor was running but the door was not moving. I called Overhead company as it was Overhead equipment. The tech checked the door and he was able to make it move up/down manually without any problems however the door was not moving all the way up when using remote. The tech told me he could replace the board however he is sure this is not going to resolve the issue but I will be responssible for $350-$380 anyway so I am better of replacing the entire unit. The unit was replaced for $520.00 and I asked what was wrong with the old one when he handed me the railing from the original one stating its in good shape and then I was told that it was probably the board but he really was not sure. Now I have to use 2 different remote controllers to open both doors as the new one does not work with the old one. It looks hideous as I have 2 different units in my garage, 2 different pannels on the wall, 2 different remote openers and 2 different sensitive eye sets for the 2 door garage. It looks horrible! Waist of money and I am pretty sure the old unit could have been repaired.
I was a little nervous to contact Overhead Doors after reading about "Irritable Bowl Syndrome Bob" butttt.... after purchasing my new home and seeing the previous owners had used them I was forced to give them a call. I was incredibly happy with the customer service I received from the new manager Matt. He was definitely not suffering from IBS. Through our conversation he told me he was new to the position so a few times he had to stop and look up the information I was looking for as he wanted to be 100% correct. I appreciated the fact that he was honest and took the time to make sure I was receiving the correct information. He was personable, professional, and offered me a quick resolution to the issue I was having. I am looking to replace both of my garage doors in the near future, and Overhead will be the company we call. Our broken door was repaired withing 72 hours from that first call with "Non irritable Matt" and the price was perfect. I did not spend much time with the service tech because he was fast and efficient, but the customer service is outstanding. I highly recommend Overhead Doors as their customer service and product is outstanding!
From what I understand, this business is under new ownership. The new owner's name is Jeff, I believe. Nice fellow. Anyway, I called them to service the garage door opener that was in my house when I bought it. They sent a guy over, who "tried" to fix it, and for whatever reason, did or could not. So then he offered to sell me a "refurbished" unit instead of a new one at a discounted rate, with a one year warranty. I appreciate saving a few bucks, so I went for it. Skip ahead to two months later, and the unit won't work. The door opens but refuses to close. I call the guy that put it in to make good on that one year warranty, and his phone isn't working. I called, texted, and couldn't get in touch with him. Peeved, I called the company back and tried to track down the guy. He had been fired, apparently, and he'd been up to no good with other customers. Yikes. So, now I'm stuck with a machine that I don't know where it actually came from, it's broken, and I've already spent $$ to try and resolve the problem, and not really up for buying another new one. The following is why these folks get a 5 star rating from me. I called, and ended up speaking to someone in the Leominster office, and gave them all the history. I wasn't sure what, if anything, they could or would do, but I didn't know what else to try, so I talked to them and told them what happened. Someone called me later from the Worcester location called me and told me that they were going to take care of me, and send a tech out to my house and to fix the machine (which was probably stolen from them). Honestly - who does that??!?! Like nobody! I really appreciated that they cared THAT much about their relationship with me to go the extra five miles. Skip ahead, skip ahead - the machine is fixed, and a very wrong was turned into a very right. I'll happily refer and do business with them for years to come. This was exemplary treatment, in a situation that wasn't that great for them, and where they didn't HAVE to do anything for me. Thumbs way up.
I have not used Overhead Door because I was so turned off by the very rude man who answered the phone when I was transferred to the service department. He acted as if he did not want my business and was so nasty. I manage an apartment community so this company had the potential to make a great business relationship with me as I will inevitably need more work in the future. I ended the phone call without even setting something up because the person on the phone was such a turn off for the company. I would recommend having someone else answer you phone if you want to get business.
Need 2 ratings: 1 for the service call & 1 for the actual on-site service Service call: minus 5 On-site service: plus 5 Some gruff irritable guy took my call (who I will call, irritable bowel syndrome Bob) & we agreed to Thu, between 9-11AM and I would get a call when the serviceman was on his way. I think, that's a good customer oriented touch. A phone call prior to his arrival. The phone transaction was a bit rough, because he came across short, rude, and impatient to listen. It's Wed afternoon & someone from the main office said the serviceman left my house because no one was home. I was home & never heard the door. I call the office & was forced to talk to this same gruff irritable bowel syndrome Bob. When I said the appointment was Thu & I was supposed to get a heads up call, he had the gall to try to turn this misunderstood appointment back onto me. In other words, it would be my loss if I didn't take this Wed appointment while raising his voice at me. One: Irritable bowel Bob isn't good at his job because he got 2 different days & time frames mixed up. Two: Irritable bowel Bob guy has no interpersonal communication skills from taking a work order to following up and foremost listening to completion without being interrupted. Exceptions can be made if Irritable Bob was an affable orate Bob. Bottom line, he belongs off the phone & away from public access. He fails on competency & public appeal! The service guy was exceptional. He explained & showed me where to spray the silicone to reduce the noise level & keep the door in motion. He was exceptionally friendly, trustworthy & fun to talk with. 20 mins of service = .50 hrs of labor at $75 Posted to FB & they requested a private message. Sent them a private FB message but they NEVER replied.
Fixed every problem I had but one. When I called and mentioned they had missed a repair item, they were there the very next day and fixed it free of charge. Great product, great repair work, and great customer service.
